Note Cards

Two of the Christmas note cards I made today. Fluffles the cat is from Stampendous & the Elf is from an SU set. Not sure if I will put these inside the Christmas CD folder or not, I haven't yet decided!

Scallop Christmas Cards

I made these little Christmas cards today & am thinking of putting them inside the Christmas CD Cover Imade recently. I made five of these cards using my circle nesties. (Gee I can't live without those in my day!)
The little Elves are from an SU stamp set- aren't they cute! The reindeer is from Alias Smith & Rowe, a very ancient stamp I've had for years! Fluffles the cat is from Stampendous.

Photo Frames Or...?

While out shopping today I came across these 2 photo frames. Hmmm, I thought. I bet I could run those through my CUTTLEBUG & get little embossed star shapes...so I bought them! (The stars have a rounded raised edge which is not sharp enough to actually cut the card just emboss it) After I came home I removed the tab using a pair of blunt nosed pliers (c'mon, every girl has some of those in her tool box!). It came off really easily! Then I got my cuttlebug "B" plates & my tan mat & a few sheets of card. I had to run it through a couple of times to get the right thickness of card (about 4 sheets did it for me!) & then I had a cute embossed star shape! I cut around the shape & voila, it was done! How easy is that!! And all for $1.50!!!
They are no longer photo frames! They are very light & thin & add a new dimension to my cuttlebug machine! I wonder what I can find next..?!

Artist Trading Card - Back View

Here is the back view of my ATC I made. I like bumble bee's & honey..as you can see! I love to photograph bumble bee's, they are such fascinating things!

Artist Trading Card

This is the front of an ATC I made for myself! I had fun making it, but haven't made any others as yet. The sunshine stamp is one I drew & had made into a stamp about 10 or 12 years ago now. Oh, 1996 to be exact, I have it written on the side of the stamp! Waiknot Rubber Stamps use this on stamp on their news letters! I have some other stamps I designed &will mention them as I use them.

A Fairy Good Day To You!

I made this card with vellum which had fairy images on it! Heaven knows where I got it from, but I think it was Gordon Harris Art Supplies. I also used a piece of vellum (the brown colour) underneath this image, it looked better than being on white card. I stuck the vellum to the card using tiny dots of glue then used apricot coloured flower studs over the top so you can't see the glue through the vellum. Phew! It did stay together well! The card opens up at the top. I scored the back of the card so it opens easier. Thanks for visiting! :-)

Black & White CD Cover

I stamped this Hero Arts image in White Stazon ink onto some clear plastic then cut it out & using some vellum tape, adhered on to the small piece of black card. I also used gold brads in the corners. (I know, they look silver on here!)

I used my Swiss Dots cb folder for the white strip of card under the image. I used a rectangle nestie cut twice to lengthen it as it was a bit short. I am going to make some matching note cards to put inside this folder.
Since posting the photo of the cd cover, I have since made some matching note cards, so I have added these to the post! The note cards open up from the side & I used my rectangle nesties to cut them out.
Ok, that's it! Thanks for visiting & I hope your weekend is going well!

Oval Nestie CD Cover

I used my Floral Screen CB folder for the embossing on here. I used oval nesties instead of circle or square ones. Oh heck, the stick on pearl is NOT centered very well is it?! Must fix that! I blame it on all the wind & rain we've had lately!

Blue or Purple, You Choose!

Would you believe this is NOT blue but PURPLE??! It looks very blue on here but in reality it's very purple!
Yes I know, another cd cover! I'm going to make matching note cards for some of these folders. I'll put cd's in some of them though. I used a paper flower & a little padded heart in the center of the flower.
The storm from yesterday has passed but it is still very wet outside.
Nearly the end of the weekend, I hope yours went well!

Yep, Another CD Folder...

This is the last of the cd folders I made today I made today. I used square nesties on this one for a change. I've used my Argyle CB folder on the square scallop, & my Christmas Ornaments folder on the strips across the folder. Paper flowers & a stick on pearl on top of the squares & it was DONE!

Xmas CD Cover

Here is a CD cover I made late last night. Put your fave photo's onto a CD, make a CD cover & send it to your friends for Christmas! Personalise the cover with the recipients name if you like! I used my Argyle CB folder to emboss it & my nesties to cut the circles. "Fluffles" is from Stampendous.
These are just so easy to make!
Thanks for visiting, have a great Sunday! (It's still wet here :-( )

Initial Card

I made this card a long time ago - before I knew what a Cricut machine was & how easy it would be to cut out letters! I cut out the "S" by hand then stamped the flower stamp randomly over it. I then layered it on to some black card & cut around it. I added the bee's (Stampendous) after colouring them & cutting them out. I stamped the daisies on the white card using a big back ground stamp I have. An easy card to make as well as fun! I came across this card in my pile of "miscellaneous stuff" while looking for something, which I never did find! Oh well ... :-)

Ultra-Mini Note Folder!

This is a MINI mini note folder! As the day went on the folders got smaller! This one measures about one & a half inches square! They are just sooooo easy & fun to make, please try it! No nestie on this one, just the paper flower & stick on pearl!
Have a FUN weekend! There is a major storm on the way, here, it's bad enough now & I just hope it doesn't hit us too much worse. Storms are NOT my most fave part of winter at all! Please Mr. Weather man be kind to us & make the storm GO AWAY!!! Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope I have inspired you, as others have inspired me! :-)

CD Cover

I made two of these CD covers this morning, as well as the other note folders. I can't tell you how EASY these are to make! I used scraps of card for the strips across the front & the nestie shapes. I have used either nesties or punches to cut the half circles - you could even use a square nestie (half) instead of the circle! I used different CB folders to emboss the strips of card & the pink scallop circle. Besides cd's or dvd's you could make note cards to put inside! It's up to YOU! Thanks for visiting!

In The Pink!

This mini note folder is about 3 inches by 3 inches. I first made the folder by using my scor pal to score the fold lines. I used a scallop nestie to cut the half circle at the top. I used my cb folders to emboss the white strip across the front of the folder & the pink heart. (The heart is also a nestie.) I measured & cut the note card with flower on, & used my square nesties to cut it out. I added a stamped flower & a tab (SU round tab punch) at the top of the note card. These are NOT hard to make!
Using the scorpal makes things SO much easier! These note folders could be for any occasion, I hope to get some made as Christmas cards.
I added a paper flower & stick on pearl to the center of the heart.

CD or DVD Covers

I can multi-task!! While I was on the phone this morning, I made this CD cover!! I'm not one to sit there doing nothing, even while watching tv, I am "doing" something - usually it's stamping related! I liked this one so much I made some others!
Then a friend dropped by & she saw the cover & was SO excited about it! So I am going to make a set for her as a gift! These are FUN & EASY to make, trust me! I used my scor-pal to score the lines, soooo quick!! I doubt that I would have bothered to make it if I didn't have the scorpal. I'm not good at measuring & scoring lines freehand, but honestly, with the scorpal it is MUCH easier, quicker & NO stress..oh yes, & you get STRAIGHT lines! Woooo hooo!
Thank you for visiting my blog! Have a FAB weekend! (I am!)

Open Vellum Card (See post below)

This is what the inside of the vellum card ( scroll down to next post) looks like. I punched out two wine coloured scallop circles using my nesties, & then a smaller plain white circle which I stuck on over the top.
I have punched out the vellum so the top is still joined, to make the fold.
These cards are SO much fun to make! Please try it! (And email me your version, if you like! I'd love to see what you have made!)
This idea came from Lynda so please check put her blog, she has some great things to see!
Thanks for stopping by & I hope your day (or night!) is going well!

Vellum Card

This is not the best photo of this card, what you can't see is, the butterfly actually stands out.
Anyhow, I was inspired by Lynda's card which is on SCS & also on her blog. Please check out her blog, she is a very clever lady & has some awesome cards & things on there! (Thank you Lynda!)
I first cut the vellum using a large nestie, then cut the cards underneath. (See above post for inside of this card)
I stamped in Stazon Cotton White ink, using one of my Heidi Grace flower stamps. I used white star brads to hold the inside card & vellum together. I added some diamond gems to the butterfly & some kindy glitz to some of the flowers. I just love making these vellum cards!

Pull Up Card - My Version!

I used two stamps from River City Rubberworks on this card. I made the insert piece (with the words stamped on) by cutting tabs at the bottom of the insert. Kind of like an upside down "T". By using very this strips of tape on the sides of the front card (with the girl on) it stops the insert slipping out the sides. Also, the flower brads at the top stop the insert being pulled right out. REAL easy! I have added pale colours using my copics on some of the words. Click the image to see a bigger version. I like these two stamps! Oh yes, I added a tab on the pull out card using my SU round tab punch, so you can easily pull the card up to read it.

More Black & White!

I made this card while waiting on the repairman to fix my washing machine - he took some "serious" stamp money from me!! I used my Birthday CB folder to emboss the background & just stamped the images in black ink. The ladies are from Stampendous & the cake is from ...? I have no idea! I think it was a $2 one from Spotlight! I added a tiny bit of crystal Kindy glitz to one of the lady's earrings, shoes & as a "bling" ring on her finger! Oh yes, & I put some on the cake too! This was a quick card to make..I could have made dozens while waiting on the repairman!! (Yes, the washing machine does go now but I am not sure if that's good or bad?!)

Storing Nestabilities

Some people have been asking, "How do you store your nestabilities?" Here's how I store mine! I went to the $2 Shop & bought a packet (12 in a packet) of plastic curtain rings! They snap together REALLY firmly but are easy to undo.
I use a different curtain ring for each nestie set & the other thing I did was to number each nestie on the back. I did this for two reasons, one is so I can match up the scallop with the plain nestie when I want to get the right size, & the other reason is so I know if I have "lost" one somewhere! My carpet is the same colour as the nesties & they are hard to see if I drop one! You can't really see the curtain ring here, but it is white plastic & has a snap thing at the top. Oh yes, BTW, I hang them on an upright coffee mug hanger thing - also from the $2 Shop! (They love me in that shop!)

Paper Doodle Card

I made this card using one of the paper doodles I made last week. I cut out two circles using my plain & scallop nesties, cut them in half & just added the paper doodle & ribbon, plus two extra stick on pearls. A quick card to make, especially as I already had half it made before I even started!
Have a great weekend - it's raining here so it's definitely a "stamping" day! (Do I NEED an excuse to stamp?!)

"Hercules"

I was inspired to make this card after seeing a similar one on Christines blog just awhile ago! (Thank you Christine!) I loved the colours she used - check out her blog she has some great stuff there!
The pony's name is "Hercules" & he is from Kiwi-Impressionz (2C 606)
He reminds me very much a a pony I used to have many years ago! I have coloured him with my copics using only two colours & then run the blender pen over him to "dapple" him!

More Paper Doodle Cards

Here are some small note cards I made using my cuttle bug embossing folders, & some of the Paper Doodles I made last week. Easy peasy to make! I also have small envelopes to fit these cards.

Thanks

I know this looks a bit plain & uninteresting...but it has a big block of CHOCOLATE inside it! I used my Cricut to cut out the word "Thanks" and the flowers. I used my scorpal on a piece of white card to score lines so I could fold it around the chocolate. This is a gift for someone.

Sympathy

Well, it looks like I am still in a 'monochrome' mood - I've made yet more black & white cards today! This time I have used one of my "With Love" embossing strips. (The tall flowers) I stuck a black stick on pearl in the center of each flower. The sympathy stamp is from Stamp It in W.A.

More Black & White Cards!

The lady on here is from Stampa Barbara. I stuck some black stick on pearls on her ear rings & the bottom of her dress. I used my Floral Screen embossing folder for the embossed bit, & a scallop nestie for the black background piece. The words are from PSX & I have stamped these inside the card. I wanted to put it on the front but it was way too big & I didn't want to make a bigger card! Another quick & easy card!

My Black & White Night!

I made these next five cards late last night - I was in a black & white mood! I don't know which company makes the hat gloves & shoes stamp as there is nothing written on the stamp at all.
I used the Textile Texture embossing folder on here, & layered it onto the black card then on to the white card. I used my cuttlebug dies to cut out the little black bit with the white brad on. I stuck the hat etc on the card using sponge tape.

Black & White Dress

This dress stamp is from Inkadinkado (8353P).
It's one I really like & used it ALOT when I first got it! I have stamped it in black ink.
I used my D'vine Swirls embossing folder for the background bit. I added black & white paper flowers (the black one is made using an EK Success punch) & put a black stick on pearl in the center of the white flower.

Anniversary Card

I don't know who the hat, shoes & glove stamp is made by as there is no company name or anything on the stamp! The "Happy Anniversary" stamp is from the Sydney Stamp Stall. I used my swiss dots embossing folder for part of the card, & added black & white paper flowers to the top right hand corner. Lastly I added a black stick on pearl to the center of the flower.

Dress Up

The dress stamp on here is from Stampendous, (PO 99 Dress Up). I stamped it in black & added some black stick on pearls to the tiny circles on the dress. I layered it onto black card then onto the white card. I used the script embossing folder for the embossed bit.

Friends Forever

I have used the "Friends Forever" embossing folder on this card. I also used one of the "With Love" border folders for the words.
Unfortunately white cards does not scan too well, it looks MUCH better in real life!
I added stick on pearls to some of the flower points.

Paper Doodles!

These are what I made a few days ago when I wasn't feeling well & had a sore throat! I wanted to stamp, but it just wasn't working...head full of cotton wool, throat raw...the list goes on!
So I 'doodled' instead & made these to put on 'future' cards! I used my SU Tab punch, cuttle bug dies & nesties. Had fun & felt pleased I had done something, if not a card!

An Early Christmas?!

These next two cards are made with the same stamps from Paula Best, but I have used different embossing folders. This one is the Floral Fantasy embossing folder. I stamped the images then used my nesties to cut out the circles. I joined the 2 images using a small gold jump ring & attached the images to the green card using sponge tape. Having posted these, I might use my scor pal to score around the edges of the cards. I also added some Kindy Glitz to the images.

Christmas Already?!

Ditto..just using a different embossing folder, this one is the Perfectly Paisley folder.

Cuttlebug Card

I used my script embossing folder on a piece of white card, which I then stuck to the pink card. Then I cut 2 ovals using my nesties, one in pale blue, the other in in a piece of textured violet card. I added some flowers which I cut using my CB dies. Stuck all this to the pink card & added some stick on pearls.
Not a stamped image to be seen!

A Dotty Baby Card!

I used my Swiss Dots folder for the background on here, & cut out the circles using my nesties. I stamped the images before I cut the circles, I get things centered properly this way!
I coloured the images then stuck them to the card using sponge tape.

Dancing Daisies

I cut used my cuttlebug dies to cut out some yellow lilac & white daisies for this card. I first stuck a large yellow/lemon colour paper flower onto a lilac scallop circle. I then stuck some daisy patterned paper to the bottom half of the lilac card & added the small daisies as shown. I lastly added some stick on pearls to the center of each daisy.

With Love

I found a card using this lay out on SCS & just had to try it! I used silver, pale blue & cream coloured card. I layered the scallop squares & the plain square then stamped the (Rubbadubbadoo) word & flower stamp, using only a part of teh stamped imaged. I used my script embossing folder on the background blue card.
I cut two ovals (nesties) & put "With Love" in the center. The words are a gold sticker. Oh yes, nearly forgot, I added some blue ribbon down one side & tied a knot.

Fishy Stuff!

I saw several of these cards on SCS & decided to try one! I chose fish stamps for mine & added three diamond gems for bubbles. I first cut out two equal size squares, cutting the second square into 1/4's. I layered the white (glossy) card onto pink card, stamped & coloured the fish then stuck them to the black card using sponge tape. Finished!

Mini Note Board

I used a scallop nestie to cut out the cork scallop & then used the biggest nestie to cut out the pink card. I stuck the cork to the pink card & added a few tiny daisy shapes which I glued to the cork. I added a tab using the SU tab punch, so I can hang this up somewhere. I also cut out a 2 small scallop shapes & wrote the word "Notes" on & stuck this to the cork. I hope to make a few more of these as presents to slip in friends Christmas cards!

Star Cards

I made these note cards by using my rectangle nesties to punch out the shape. I stamped the girl, Global Solutions River City Rubber, Girl Pointing At Star O32C onto white card then used the nesties to cut it out. I made 12 of these. I am going to use them as small gifts in my Christmas cards. Each one is a different colour.

Hot Dogs!

These guys are from Rubbadubbadoo. It's actually the same dog stamped twice. On the shorter dog I have chopped a bit of his long neck off to make him shorter!
I did the background by sponging around a cut out leaf shape, using Mica stamp pads in various shades of lilac & gold. I have also used my Distressed lines embossing folder on the background.
On the shorter dog I have stamped his ears twice & cut them out & curled them.
I added paper flowers & Kindy Glitz.

In The Pink!

This was a very quick & easy card to make! I stamped the grass in a half circle (it's a tiny grass stamp from Stampa Barbara), then stamped three tiny daisies (Stampendous) then drew the stems. Added some colour to the grass & stuck on some stick on pearls. I stuck the white oval shape to the scallop one & stuck this to the pink card. Very quick & easy. Great for a note card...must make some more!

Practise Safe Hex!

All good witches know you should practise safe hex...
I used my swiss dots embossing folder for the red card, leaving out the middle section of the card. I stamped the witch (my own design) & then cut out a plain oval then glued her onto a purple scalloped oval & stuck her to the red card. I used my cuttle bug dies to punch out some purple flowers which I added to the top & sides of the card. A big OOOPS...one of the pumpkins eyes fell off in the scanning process & is sitting beside the witches cape... which I did not notice until AFTER I scanned teh card!! Oh well, show me a PERFECT pumpkin!

Toadily Yours...

These cute guys are from Penny Black - Toadily Yours 3835K. Are they cute or what?!
I added stick on pearls to the center of each flower & used my cuttle bug die to make some flowers which I glued on randomly. Oh yes, I also put some lime green ribbon on as well.
I haven't posted anything all week because I haven't been too well :-(
Just a sore throat/head cold, but for anyone with Addisons it can cause alot of other health problems. So I have been on 'bed rest' all week & "toadily" bored out of my brain! (And feeling like #@$! )
I made most of these cards I have posted today, last Sunday.
Hope you have enjoyed them & thank you for visiting! Have a fun day!

A BIG Spider!

The white background was done with the Traffic Light embossing folder. The spider was made using three sizes of nesties! I cut his legs by hand. I drew his mouth & glues on some wobbly eyes! A simple and fun card to make!
Did I mention I HATE bugs & spiders??!
