Gone Fishin'!!

Well I wish that was ME on that inner-tube fishing! Mr. Penguin looks soooo relaxed & happy!
I love these SU stamps, had them for awhile now, my AWESOME friend Rosy gave them to me years ago, but I just love them! (Love you too Rosy Babe!) And I love the orange & turquoise colours I have used on the cards!
I used my circle & rectangle nesties ( I cannot LIVE without those things!) to cut out the shapes. I have used my copics (can't live without those either..) to colour the image.
Fun, fun FUN is what I had making this!

Fluttering By...

I made this butterfly using my oval nesties - what FUN! I cut out 2 larger ovals & 2 smaller ones & placed them as shown on a small strip of blue card. (Hidden under neath) I then cut out a scallop circle (nesties, of course!) in orange card & stuck the butterfly to that. I added oval gems to his/her body & Kindy Glitz (I cannot live without that stuff!) to the edge of the wings.
I put some blue & orange ribbon (the orange ribbon is actually underneath the blue ribbon) to the bottom of the card & found two buttons that matched. I think I will try to make some other things with those nesties, they are soooo much fun!

Fun Flowers!

This is part of a Hero Art stamp (K4952 Sketchbook Flowers). I stamped the flowers then punched out just part of them. I also cut out a slightly larger black square & layered it behind the flowers. I cut another square in white & placed it as so in the photo. I used my copics to watercolour it & went around the edges with a light grey copic to 'shadow' the image. I crimped a strip of black card (just because I could!) & placed it on the black card behind the image. I like this stamp as I can play around with it & do different things with it! Lots'a fun girls!

Glamour Dogs!

Every dog has his day, as they say, & these guys are certainly having THEIR day! The dogs are some some scrap paper I got, & I just added some Kindy Glitz to them. I added a "Happy Day" button thing & a scallop (nesties) circle under neath. Then I stuck the dog paper to some blue card & glued that to the pink card. A quick & easy (& fun too!) card to make!

I Miss You!

This wee card measures 3 1/2 inches by 2 inches. I scanned it in b&w so NO colour is showing up on here! Oooops! The bunny is two shades of pink & the background square is burgundy. I used two stick on pearls on the corners.
Done is SECONDS! How easy is that?! The bunny is from Inky Antics.

You Hooo - It's Us!

I stamped the owls (Amazing Creations) on to the cream coloured circle, then stamped the floral thing across the pink card. I then stamped it again under the owls & matched it up & stuck the owls to the pink card. I stuck the whole lot onto blue card & added a ribbon down the side & some Kindy Glitz in various colours, to the owls. I added wobbly eyes to each owl to finish it. Oh yes, I also added some small gems to the floral stem.

A Very Tall Card!

This card is almost 8 inches tall! The stamp (Hero Arts) measures 5 inches high by 2 inches wide. I stamped it in black & glued tiny punched out flowers onto each flower head, adding one at teh bottom to make it appear as if it had fallen off. Or something! In the center of each tiny flower is a small gold gem. I got these from a Japanese shop. They were only a dollar a packet & there are heaps in each packet. Shame the shop has closed down!
I got the idea for the shape of the card from a card I got in the mail. I traced around it to get the right shape. The base card is black. I've tried stamping this stamp in colour but I prefer it in black. The fold side of the card is on the left.

Flowers For My Friend

I cuttlebugged a piece of "Shimmer Sheetz" stuff, using the paisley folder. Then I punched out 2 big flower shapes. I stuck them onto scallop (nesties) circles. I used a piece of scrap paper down one side (it's sort of paisley design too) of the card & added some burgundy ribbon. Then I stamped the words (Heidi Grace) & stuck the flowers to the olive green card. I added small flowers to the center of each big flower. That gremlin in my scanner is mucking around with the colours again, this is MUCH brighter than it shows on here!

Sunshine!

One stamp, some dolls hair & a very quickly cut denim hat & a bead type butterfly & there you have it...Sunshine!
I like that face stamp, you can so many interesting things with it! I have a friend, Annie, in W.A. who stamps the same stamp in amongst trees etc. Hers are so neat, but mine never come out quite right when I try it!

Hearts For You!

There is a GREMLIN in my scanner! It's true! The ribbon on here is HOT PINK. not cold white!! It is a very bright 'in-ya'face' hot pink but looks a sickly white on here! :-( Oh well, at least I know it's pink!
I'm not feeling too well today, I have Addisons Disease & have had some major stress recently. Anyone who knows anything about Addisons knows that stress can make you very ill. I'm fighting to keep myself OUT of hospital & seem to be doing the right things. I've had 100's of admissions to hospital & really DON'T want to spend my weekend in there!! (And if I sound a bit vague or my words are scrambled..blame it on the steroids!)
So, besides having a nice visit from my stamping mate Margaret (she lives two houses away - how convenient!) I decided I was going to make cards, in spite of felling like !#*? So this is one of the cards I made. Even the green card has not shown up as bright as it SHOULD be!
I punched out the squares then punched (on an angle) the hearts out & layered them onto a burgundy coloured card.
Anybody want a free Gremlin???!

DIY Friday - Again!

Anyone would think I had nothing better to do on a Friday night than get into some DIY...and they'd be right!! This is a close up of my new rails I put up to hang my large punches on. Cambria did it on her blog & got me hooked on the idea! The rails were only $3 each. See the photo below for a wide angle view!

Punch Racks -DIY Friday Again!

Here's what I have done with some of my bigger punches...hung 'em up!! I bought some small towel rails & screwed them to the wall & hung some of my punches up so I can SEE them easier! Underneath are my clear stamps hanging on another rail I hung up recently.

Tab Card

I punched out 2 circles in Mulberry card & then a smaller scallop circle using my nesties. I punched out an olive green tag using my SU round tab punch & joined the cards together. I stamped a small Hero Arts stamp in Pearlescent Olive green Brilliance ink on the white circle. Inside the card I have glued 2 white circles on the inside of the Mulberry card to cover the green tab.
Lastly I added the green 'thing' ?! on the side of the card using a green brad. A simple card to make taking not alot of time to make! But it did make me smile! :-)

ANZAC Day

Here's what I did with y Poppy from ANZAC Day last Friday! I wanted to put it to 'good use'...this is what I came up with!
I used a Heidi Grace stamp down one side of the card & stuck the Poppy over the top. I removed the green plastic stem from the Poppy first, as it was too chunky on the card. Lastly I stamped "Give Peace A Chance" at the bottom of the card.

Birds of a Feather...

This is a Hero Arts stamp, one I got free recently. I inked up the entire stamp with Ice Blue Brilliance ink then I used a sponge tip eye shadow applicator to apply Sky Blue Brilliance ink to just the birds. I had to be careful not to ink up the flowers as well. A bit of a challenge but patience paid off! I added stick on pearls to the flowers & down the side of the card. I used my scallop scissors to cut the bottom of the blue card & punched holes in each scallop. I like this stamp alot! I also used the pearls down the sides of the card.

Summertime Fun!

Here's another care I made using one of my free Hero Art stamps I got recently! (Thank you to Kay at Stampzone!)
I used some olive green SU card & a small piece of white card underneath. I added Kindy Glitz to the finished card but you can't see it too well on here. :-( Because this was a tallish stamp & would have taken up most of a normal sized card, I made the card taller than usual. It looks better this way. I added some burgundy coloured ribbon & green flower brads in the corners.

Horsin' Around!

I made this card awhile ago but never got round to blogging it until now! The weird thing is, the ribbon on it looks multi-coloured, but in fact it is plain GOLD! It's a very reflective ribbon so I guess that's why it has come out like it has! I used some rust brown Bazzill card for the main card, & used my nesties for the circles. Lastly I added the gold lines around the border & corners.

Pray...

I used my Heidi Grace stamps (long stem) for this quick card. After stamping it in black, up one side of the card, I then glued 3 hand made paper flowers to the stem. (I made the flowers)
I used my rectangle nesties to cut the lilac & pink cards. I added some coloured brads to the center of each flower & it was finished. i liked the simplicity of this card.

Kiwi Card!

I made this card using part of a picture from an old card I got ages ago. Saved it 'cause I liked the picture! I used my nesties to cut it out & the blue card behind it. I added some black ribbon with the silver fern on it (once again, very "Kiwi"!) punched out the shape of New Zealand in brown card & glued it to the green card.
I will use this for one of my OS Xmas cards next Xmas.

Love Me...

My smarty-pants friend MISS TWINKLE-TOES send me a card with this layout, so I copied it using different colours & stamps! I cut out a big circle using my nesties & then cuttlebugged it with Birds & Swirls embossing folder. Then I cut a rectangle in pink, once again using my nesties & finally cut a scalloped oval - yep, nesties again! I stamped & coloured the image using my copics & assembled the card.
At the bottom I stamped the words - cheap stamp from Spotlight. Before I stuck the big blue circle to the white card, I wrapped & tied the ribbon to it. I like how this turned out - thanks MTT!!

A Little Christmas Tag Card!

I'm not sure WHY I made a Christmas card in April? But I had alot of fun making it! The red card is embossed with lines (you can't see it on here). I used my nesties to cut the red & white circles. I measured the bit with the snowflake brad using my scorpal. (I use that thing for all kinds of things..) Inside the card is a small white square which I cut out with my nesties. You can write a message on the square. This was a quick & easy card to make! Oh yes, the snowman was one of a small set of free stamps I got off some stamp magazine awhile back. I added white dots to the red scallop circle.

Best Wishes

Ok, this was another one of my FREE stamps I got recently! The colour looks a bit faded, it IS brighter than this is showing! I stamped it in black onto white glossy card. Then I quickly drew around some of the image with a white crayon & brayered over it with Baby Powder Kaleidacolor stamp pad. I brayered it several times to add depth to the colour. I stuck it to pink, then blue card & finally onto Mulled Wine card. I added some stick on pearls to the side & it was DONE! This is a Hero Arts stamp.

Cupcakes For Afternoon Tea!

Yummm. I love cupcakes - real ones & rubber ones!
The word "Yum" (Hero Arts) is stamped onto a cuttlebugged (using one of the cb dies) piece of card which is on the INSIDE of the card. I used my nesties to cut the bigger circle (scalloped). I overlayed it with a white piece of card, also using the nesties. Not hard at all - when you can find the RIGHT size nestie you want! The cupcake image is from the same Hero Art set. I stamped it onto white card & cut it out & used double sided sponge tape to stick it to the card. Before I did that I taped the pink ribbon to the card using some very narrow sticky tape. I added the coloured beads (challenging to say the least, especially when you don't have your PROPER reading glasses & are using some from the $2 Shop... but that's ANOTHER story for ANOTHER rainy day...) using a glue pen to stick them on the card.

What Do You Do On A WET Day?!

...well you STAMP of course!! Aarrgghhh! The weather today was AWFUL! I HATE those days when it is wet, windy & so dark you HAVE to have the lights on! I get so depressed & just want to hibernate!! Is that allowed?! At least it wasn't cold! Now THAT would have really set me off...
Anyhow, I stamped, as you can see! And I had to un-install my printer & re-install it because my scanner was doing weird things on me! Another aarrgghh! This is a Rubbadubbadoo stamp & one I have used many times. I like it! The colour is a little faded on here but I inked it with (starting from the top colour) purple, orange then pink Brilliance ink pads. The Olive green is an Impress stamp pad. I added a small bow under the flower & it was done! I like the colour of this card, it is Mulled Wine from Stampzone. Now, if only I had a GLASS of mulled wine I'd be quite 'happy'... :-)

King of My Heart

I am not sure which company this stamp is from, but I know I haven't used it much! I typed up the words & printed them out on the computer as I didn't have a word stamp that matched. Oh NOOOOOOOO!! I have just had an interesting thought.....I think I have blogged the card TWICE!! OH DEAR!!
Better go & check it out...

Flowers for You

This is one of my free stamps I got last weekend! I went to the Autumn Home Show & bought some Hero Art Stamps from Stampzone. The next day I made five cards using the stamps I had got the day before. Sunday dawns bright & sunny & I decided to go back to the show & take my cards to show Kay & Colin (STampzone) whar I had done with them! Kay liked them so much she asked if she could have them & said if I make her some more sample cards I could have the three stamps I was about to buy, for FREE!! So of course I said YES!! So this is one of the stamps & one of the cards I have made for her. I will take the cards to her at the Dunkleys show in June.
I made this card into a big 'tag card' & used my cuttlebug embossing folder (D'vine swirls) on one half of the card. I used my oval nesties on the pink & white cards. Inside the card is a white oval with Just For You stamped on it. All are HA stamps. I have added a purple flower brad with a piece of white & gold ribbon.

Birthday Time!

This is another one of my free stamps I got - all I have to do is make them some sample cards! Who would say 'no' to that?? Not me!! I like this stamp & I like it best in black & white! I tried colour but didn't go for it as much as I did in b&w. But I will plkay around with it & see what else can come up with. This is another Hero Arts stamp.

Floweres & Pearls

This is a new Hero Arts stamp I got recently. I have used the Paisley cuttlebug embossing folder on half of the card. I used Coffee Bean Brilliance ink which matches to card colour perfectly.
This is another sample card for Stampzone.

Hugs!

Here is one of the stamps I got at the Autumn Home Show last weekend.
I punched out some tiny flowers & stuck them to the card using a glue pen. The word & flower stamps are both from Hero Arts.
Very simple & elegant! I like the clean lines of this stamp.

Fishy Kisses For You!

This is the same idea as I have used below - 2 squares of card & 2 circles of card. I added some gold wavy card which I corrugated with my wavy corrugator. I added Kindy Glitz to their fins & tail & glued on some wobbly eyes! I also added an orange 'fish' brad & 2 gold brads just to finish it. These cards are easy to do & lot's of fun!
Go to www.splitcoaststampers.com & check out the 'newest addition cards', then scroll to page ten. You will find this card (I think by JennyLynn) here. She has some neat cards!

Fishy Kisses!

Ok, I haven't blogged for awhile but I HAVE been busy! These fish are made with two squares of card & 2 circles cut into quarters.
I got the idea of SCS, page ten of the newest addition cards. I think the idea was from JennyLynn. It is called "Fishy Kiss". Check it out! The entire card measures approximately 11 inches by eight inches. The only thing missing are the words, "Fishy Kisses", which I have yet to add. Lot's of fun & easy to make!
