Getting Ready for Christmas!

Here are some of the SU Mini Treat Bags I made with their cards that go inside them.
My hands are very painful and are slowing me down, but I am getting them done, one by one!
The striped bag above is actually a bright sparkly gold colour!  IRL it is really pretty! You'll have to take my word in that because it isn't showing up in the photo!  The words say, " 'twas the night before Christmas."
On the card below I have used a die which has a row of hearts to punch out the hearts.  I glued a strip of sparkly gold card behind the punched out hearts.
You can see the row of gold hearts in the photo below.  I found this flower paper when I went on my search for Christmas paper...and found NONE!  I went to a well known store which used to have a huge range of 12x12 scrapbook papers.  Sadly their range of not on;y papers, but other stamping crafts, is getting less and less.  Because it takes me about an hour an half on two buses to get there, I seriously doubt that I will ever bother to go back again.  I was very disappointed the day I went.  In fact, the places I used to buy stamping stuff are all gone.  There is NOTHING nearby:-(  So I have no idea where I am going to get Christmas paper to me more treat bags!  I have searched online, but by the time I add $8 plus for postage, it puts the price up to high. Someone PLEASE open up a decent stamping/paper craft store out West?!  I am desperate!

Well it is a very wet first day of Daylight Saving today, so I will be staying DRY inside and getting creative in my my craft room!  I planted two tomato plants last week, so they will be well watered by all the rain we have had over night and today.  I may have to teach them how to swim!
Thanks for dropping by, have a great weekend!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Christmas and Birthday Treat Pockets/Cards

The top photo is one of the mini bags I made recently.  The card is what goes inside the bag. I have several birthdays coming up on the horizon, so I am making a start now while I have time!  I really like that Old Olive and Apricot colour scheme!  It always reminds me of the Swan Lake ballet I went to, and all their costumes were of those two colours!
I am rapidly running out of suitable Christmas paper to make more of these treat bags with.  I have just been to two craft shops and none of them had anything suitable:-(

This treat bag is for Halloween - did you guess?!  I don't make many Halloween things as we don;t actually celebrate it here.  But I do like witches and things and have a few Halloween stamps etc!  Oh yes, this witches butt is on one of those wobbly spring things! Nothing like a witch shaking her butt at you for Halloween!!

Another Christmas treat bag.  Now I need to make cards to go inside the bags - then check I have envelopes the right size!  My next job will be to make the envelopes using my envelope maker board.
It is a very wet day here today, so I think I will settle in and get crafting!  I have been out (yes, in the rain!) to buy two tomato plants already today, and now I just need this rain to stop so I can plant them!  In the mean time you will find me in my craft room...have a great day and thanks for dropping by! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

SU Mini Treat Bags

These are a few of the mini treat bags I made the other day, and I have decorated these ones.  I had all the "decoration" bits already made, so it was just a matter of matching them to the right bags!  Easy peasy:-)
I have a box with "decoration" bits I have already made, so if I need something in a hurry, or I can't think what to put on a card/bag, I just rummage around and usually find something I like!

Thanks for dropping by, enjoy your day:-)

Mini Treat Bags

The weather is horrible and wet today, so I thought it was a great opportunity to stay inside and make some treat bags!  So far I have only decorated the one above.  The bag looks crooked, but it is just the angle I took the photo making it look crooked!
I've made about eight bags, these are just a few of them.  I will make cards to fit in the bags, and also decorate the bags.
I want to make some Christmas ones, but discovered most of my Christmas paper is too small!  I did have a couple of sheets that were big enough, but I definitely need some more bigger sheets.  A trip to the craft shop will fix that!  Enjoy your day, and thanks for dropping by!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Bird House Card

I made this Bird House using a Stampin' Up! punch - for the roof - and a Nestability die for the box part.   SO much fun!  The leaves are from a Kaisercraft die.
Here's a close up of the birdhouse.  I punched out a small heart using another SU punch.
Here's the pieces I punched out.  The SU punch I used punches out two sizes.  So you can make a slightly bigger bird house if you want to.
I punched a hole in the top of the birdhouses to attach a piece of thread so I could hang the birdhouse.
Lot's of fun to make!
Thanks for dropping by, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)
