Bloodied and Bruised.

Sorry, no nice cards today:-(
Earlier today (about 11.30 am) I was on my way to the shops.  I was walking along the public footpath and was about to press the crossing buzzer to cross the road.  All of a sudden I was hit on my right side and run over by a lady on a four wheel mobility scooter.   She sent me flying through the air and as I landed on the ground, she then run me over with both the front and back wheels of the mobility scooter.  Straight over both legs. I was in  agony and was unable to get  up off the ground.  Two awesome people (whom I don't know) stopped their cars to help.  A guy called Carl picked  me up and helped me  to a nearby seat so I could sit down.  An awesome lady (whose name I cannot remember) also stopped and called an ambulance for me.  She then sat with me, with her arms around me holding me up because I felt like I was going to faint, and she waited with me until the ambulance arrived.  I was taken to a nearby emergency clinic where I waited for treatment.  I have a deep wound on my left thigh, I also have an injury to my left elbow, left knee and left ankle,  I have a huge bruise where the mobility scooter hit me, on my right thigh, as well as a graze on my right hand.  When it happened I was in shock and didn't know if I had been hit by a car or what.  The lady on the mobility scooter was going way too fast and didn't stop when she run me over!  She did stop when she saw I was injured, but left before the Police got there.  However, she gave me her details, which the Police also have.
I am home now, but spent three hours in the Emergency clinic, blood all over my jeans and feeling SORE.  The Ambulance crew were just amazing. They gave me some pain killers which helped.  I recognized the lady that run me over because I have seen her many times at the shopping mall I go to, and she is always going way too fast.  I  avoid her if I see her coming.  This time she got me:-(  The Ambulance crew said the brakes on the mobility scooters aren't very good, and the scooters take awhile to brake.  Yeah, well, I can attest to that!
I just feel battered, bruised and very sore, and somewhat emotional. (that is the shock) Very happy there are no broken bones, and my hip I had replaced is fine.  An experience I don't want to repeat, ever, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.  It's not pleasant at all.
Ok, I think I might go and "dabble" with my stamps and take my mind off things!  Thank you for listening:-)
Update - The Day After:  As the day wore on yesterday more bruises appeared.  I have bruises on my right arm, bruising behind my left ear, my left hip has a bruise on it, (yes, right where I had my hip replacement) my pelvis is bruised, the left side of my chest is sore, my neck is very sore all down my right side, my left calf muscle has big bruises on it, and my ribs are also sore.  I am SORE:-(  I am not allowed to have a shower yet because the dressings they put on aren't water proof:-( Tomorrow I see the nurse to get the dressings changed and hopefully she will put waterproof ones on:-)
SECOND UPDATE-PHOTOS:  below is the injury on my thigh from where the lady run me over the first time.  Second time she run over my lower legs and ankles.
Same injury after it had been cleaned by the nurse this morning.
My which is now the size of a football and very painful left knee.
My left ankle, I had to get a support bandage for my ankle because it is so painful to put any weight on it.
My "plastered" left foot/ankle.  You can't see the bruising but I assure you it is there!
My left elbow after the nurse dressed it this morning.  They re concerned about the injury to my thigh because it is kind of 'open'.  They can't stitch it because they said the blood circulation is not good and it may not heal if it was stitched.  I have an ACC nurse coming to dress it again on Monday.  I did take a photo of the elbow before it was dressed but haven't downloaded it.  Next post!  While I was in the local Pharmacy this morning, where I am VERY well known,  they could see I was limping and asked if I was ok.  I said I had been run over by a lady on a mobility scooter and told them where it happened.  The pharmacy assistant said "Oh my God!  It wasn't that lady..." and went on to describe the woman, and then she said, "OMG she is ALWAYS speeding on that thing."  So this woman is well known for speeding, and not just by me.
Anyway I now have waterproof dressing on my injuries, so I am allowed to have a SHOWER now!  Yay!
I have been in touch with the Police, and because of my injuries they are coming here to the house to interview me so I can make a formal complaint.  This woman who run me over is well known for speeding on her mobility scooter.  Se needs to be held accountable.  So far it has cost me $55 in medical costs.  $55 I couldn't afford, and especially at this time of year.   I am not sure if there will be any more medical costs or not.  It will depend on how my injuries heal.
UPDATE: 29th December 2018:
Was at my GP's office yesterday (28-12-2018)to get my medication sorted out.  I have Addisons Disease and had become very unwell last night and needed help with my medication.  I've been put onto Prednisone (temporarily) in hope of keeping me out of hospital.
I have just had An ACC nurse come to clean my wounds as the thigh wound was bleeding through the bandage.  They will be back next Tuesday to clean the wounds again.  No cost!!  Yippee!  I have now spent $75 on medical costs for an accident that was not my fault.  I was interviewed by the Police on Friday regarding the incident, and they have taken it very seriously.  The woman who run me over left the accident scene before the Police arrived.  Not a good thing to do, to cause an accident and leave before the Police arrive.  Mistake number one.  I want the woman to be held accountable for what she has done.  I am saving all my receipts for my medical bills and I want her to reimburse me for them.  The Police said there are several offences she can be charged with.  I am just waiting to hear back from them as to where to from here.  As it stands at present, I am in a lot of pain and take pain killers four times a day to keep the pain level down.  Sleeping is a challenge because I can't get comfortable because of all the bruising all over my body.  I can't leave the house because of the pain.  I can't do my own grocery shopping.  I am hoping to be able to do that by next Tuesday as I have someone coming to take me in the car.  I have to use my walking stick to walk because of my ankle and thigh injury.  The worst pain is from the thigh injury.  It is a deep wound so is still oozing blood.  Below is my elbow injury which is healing nicely.
The next two photos are my thigh injury as of today (29-12-2018) which is the one they are concerned about.  It has steri strips across it now to hold it together, as well as a waterproof dressing over the top.  I don't like looking at these photo's, even though I took them!

I will keep updating this post until I feel like it is finished.  If you don't want to read it that's fine.  But I need to write it.
Sorry for my rant, but this blog is also my safe  place to vent.  Thank you for your patience!  I WILL be back to posting cards again SOON!  I will do that in a separate post.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Stay SAFE!!!!!
Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS) from me to YOU:-)

Sundays Cards!

Stamping is addictive.  Fact.  I am addicted to stamping.  Another fact!!  Two more Christmas note cards.  I like making note cards because I can use up scraps of card etc.  And besides that, they are (usually!) quick and easy to make!  Basically, any excuse to stamp/craft!
For the card above, I water coloured some white scrap card, using some SU re-inkers and my aqua brush.  (The one that has water in it).  I just 'painted' some colours on to the card and when it was dry I punched out a pile of snowflakes.  I used two snowflakes on the above card.  So quick, So easy = happy stamper!
And here is "Romeo-Valentino" in my rubbish bin, where I throw my card scraps, ready to throw away!  He spends HOURS in there, sleeping!  If ever I can't find him, I check the bin and there he is!  I have been known to "forget" he is in there, and throw scraps of card and paper on top of him!  He doesn't move! I guess he must be comfortable!?

Thanks for dropping by!  Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Christmas Cards

I don't need any more Christmas cards...but I am still making them!  I can't seem to stop!  These two cards are small 3 3/4 inch note cards.  The Angels are another set from AliExpress.  There are three Angels, and some word stamps, as well as a fluffy cloud stamp and some heart stamps in the set.  I have the matching die set as well.  These cards were quick and easy (and fun!) to make.  Both Angels have some sparkly clear gel pen on their hair.  I must get some more of those pens, both of mine have almost run out of ink.
The reindeer on  the card below is shiny gold, but it looks dull in this photo:-(  The paper with the music notes on is also shiny gold.  Well it is in real life!   Oh well!

Disappointed and Ripped Off by Chunhua Store AliExpress.

I recently purchased this animal stamp set, and the matching dies, from AliExpress.  I bought the stamp set first, then later discovered they also have the matching die set.  When I got the die set, I was  disappointed to discover the dies are facing the WRONG way, and so I can't use them to cut out the animals.  Worst still, I have contacted the seller, "Chunhua Store" THREE times to tell them and ask for a refund, but they didn't seem to  understand what I had written, and just said that the stamp and dies are old separately, which I already knew.  I sent them the photo above to show them what I meant, but have had no response.  NOT good "Chunhua Store".
The photo above shows the stamped image, and the corresponding die, which is facing cutting side down.  It is obvious the die is not going to cut out the image.
Sellers like "Chunhua Store" really frustrate, disappoint and annoy me.  They have my money and I have goods that are defective.
I hope they have a **** Christmas😡  (Fill in the gaps yourself!)
Apologies for my rant, but I am so annoyed.

Christmas Cards and Other Stuff!

Above is a thank you card I made for someone.  The "bow" is a new die, and is so much fun to use!
Below is Romeo-Valentino spread out on my craft desk!  He takes up most of the table!
The two photos below are of a couple of the tea cups I made.  These ones have the tea bags, sugar and the spoon in them.

Below are three more Christmas card I made.

I made a whole pile of these Angel Cards and sold them for $2 each.
Another tea cup I made.  They look better with the tea bags, sugar and spoon in them.  Without those things in them they look un-finished.  (To me!)
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE  day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

A Bit of Everything!

I have been very ill and in hospital for a week, (acute adrenal failure) but I am back home now and getting back into my crafting!  Above is a cute photo of my "Cutie-Patootie", Romeo-Valentino!  Oh-so-innocent - NOT!  We won't mention what he did to the Christmas tree!!
Below is a tea cup I made using some new dies I got.  So cute!  I had an order to make two for someone, and I have another one to make for someone else.  After I took this photo, I found some tiny plastic silver spoons in the local $2 Shop, so I put one in each cup, as well as tea bags and a sachet of sugar.  Lots of fun to make!
Below are some paper pyramids I made.  They have  Christmas trinkets inside them.  A quick and easy project, and it uses up your small scraps of paper.
Below is an order I got for six identical cards.
A late Christmas card I made and popped in one of my neighbours mail boxes.
The next two photos are some more teacups I made.

Make your cat(s) a toy!  I cut into strips some of the cellophane bags that I get craft things in, and then stuffed them into an old (clean!) sock.  I tied a knot in the end of the sock and hey presto!  I had a toy for my cats!  They love it because it makes a crinkling sound when they attack it!  It doesn't look flash, but the cats love it!  You could make it into a ball shape it you wanted to.

Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Fun With Alcohol Inks!

Well I am definitely having fun with my Alcohol inks!  I just made this sun catcher to hang in my window!
I die cut a circle from some plastic, and then run it through my BigShot and embossed it using a paisley embossing folder. Then I coloured the whole circle with yellow Alcohol ink.  Then I used a very tiny paintbrush to carefully drop tiny drops of magenta, blue, green, purple and yellow onto the circle.  Once I had done that, I used a thin piece of wire to dot some Isopropyl Alcohol over the colours.  This kind of takes away some of the colour, and gives the impression of 'bubbles'.  Because I embossed the circle, it sort of stopped the ink from pooling and spreading right across the circle.  It looks awesome hanging in the window, with the light behind it!  This was photographed on a window with fading light.  I will photograph it again tomorrow when the sun is shining.  I will attach some fine thread to it so it will hang properly.
Ok, that's me for today, thank you for stopping by!  Have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Christmas Cards, AliExpress Stamp Sets, And More!

These are a couple of Christmas cards  made recently.  The one below is from a stamp set from AliExpress.  It's a Stampin' UP! set called, 'Beautiful Baubles".  I got the matching die set as well.  It was around $8 NZD off AliExpress.  Let me just explain, all the stamp and die sets I buy from AliExpress are un- branded and all are brand new.  Some people have said because they are SO cheap, there must be 'something wrong with them'.  I can assure you, there is NOTHING wrong with them, nor are they defective in anyway.  Just cheap.  REAL cheap!

I stamped the small Baubles on the card, then on another piece of card I stamped them again and die cut them out.  I then stuck them over the top of the ones I stamped on my card using sponge tape.
Below is what I made to hang some of my clear stamp sets on.  I bought a hand towel rack for $2 form the $2 Shop and attached it to the wall.  I also bought some bulldog clips in small sizes.  I fashioned some hooks using some wire and then attached the hooks to the wire and hung it on the hand towel rack.  It's very rough - nothing fancy here - but it works perfectly!  Now I don't have to spend time rummaging around looking for the set I want.  This way I can see clearly what I am looking for.
I also made racks for my punches to sit on.
Here below is another SU stamp set I got from AliExpress.  This one is called, "Bouquet Blooms", and I also got the matching die set with it.
Below is a photo of the SU "Beautiful Baubles" stamp set.
Below is a large 10 inch x 8 inch ceramic tile I had lying around.  I used my alcohol inks to "paint" it! I intend to paint some glasses and dishes for Christmas gifts.  After I cleaned the tile with some Rubbing Alcohol, I then sprayed the tile with hairspray.  Yes!  Hairspray!  It helps the inks spread and mix.  Then I used the alcohol inks straight from the bottle, just a drop here and there.  More hairspray and then more alcohol inks.  I think I did this 3-4 times before I was finally ok with it.  The tile isn't 'finished'.  I'm not sure what I will do with it, but I just know it isn't 'finished'.  Watch this space!
Below is a photo of "Romeo's" shadow on the floor one morning!  The sun was behind him making this shadow on the floor.  I grabbed my camera before he moved, and this is what I got!
And here is is, below, resting his head on the side of his bed!  It was a cold morning and so he had gone back to his bed to keep warm once he had breakfast.  By the way, his bed is on my art desk!  Where else would it be?!

Well it is a very wet day here today, I am hoping the rain stops later today, because the Glow Festival is on in the Village at Titirangi. They have the whole Village lit up with thousands of Christmas lights and it looks like Fairyland!  They also have lots of different entertainment going on, music, food stalls, things to buy, games for the kids etc.  The Village looks so pretty with all the lights.  I will go if the rain stops!  I wasn't able to go last year because I had only just had hip surgery and wasn't able to walk very well, let alone carry a camera and take photos!  Oh, and I wasn't allowed to get on and off buses either:-( If I go today, I will post photos of it tomorrow.
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)
