Festival Fun!

.
This guy was making sure everyone's rubbish went into the correct recycle bin.  He had a very important job you know! Love the floppy ear!!
Here is one of the many windows that was decorated.  Sadly I was not at the festival when they turned the lights on.  The lights came on after I left.  I can imagine how beautiful the Village looked after dark!
And here is a view looking at the snow taken from across the road.  It was a challenge to get good photo's as there was a lot of people and I am SHORT!  Unless I can get above the crowd, I find it challenging at times.  But I try!
Thanks for visiting, {HUGS} form me to YOU:-)

Balloon Man!

This is one of the guys making fun things with balloons!  They made it look SO easy!  If I tried it, I am sure my effort would look like a tangled mess!
Even the orange road cones got into the festive spirit!  How creative!

Step Right Up! Get Your Tickets Here!

This lady was selling tickets to enter the fun inside!  There was ll kinds of games for kids to enjoy!  I didn't go in but I could see lot's of things going on from the outside!
This was a busy spot as it was inside away from the rain and the cold wind!

Mike

Meet Mike! He owns the Titirangi Pharmacy.  It has THE most beautiful view over the Manukau Harbour and beyond!
Mike was doing the sausage sizzle.  Unfortunately the sausages were not gluten free, so I couldn't have any:-(

...And now meet Christine, Mikes daughter who works at the pharmacy!  She was on one of the stalls selling all kinds of interesting things!

Festival Fun!

Here is one of the many balloon creations made by, well, the balloon man of course!  At least this Frosty won't melt in the sun!
These ladies were some of the street singers.  I don't actually know who they were but I enjoyed their relaxing music!
...And this cute wee boy was absolutely transfixed by them!!  He couldn't take his eyes off them...and I couldn't stop taking photo's of him!  He was just so cute:-)

Santa, Harold and These Blokes!

Okay so we all know who this guy is, don't we?!  We see him every year at this time!  We see him in shopping malls and on street corners, and if you live in Titirangi you will have seen him on his fire engine (the reindeer have been retired!) throwing lollies to the kids!  He's been doing that every year since I was a kid...and that was awhile ago!!  He gave me a lolly at the festival and even though I KNEW it wasn't gluten free...I ate it anyway!  Sometimes in life you take a calculated risk!
This is Harold the Giraffe!  Now I am not sure who he is but let me tell you this...Harold can DANCE!  He was very entertaining and everyone loved him!
And then there were these guys!  I have no idea who they represented, but they were a lot of fun too!  In spite of the horrible rain at the beginning of the festival, I think we all had a great time! I know I did!

Sign Your Name Here!

This was the community black board for people to sign.  I was so busy taking photo's and having a good time that I forgot to sign it! All the messages were nice and positive.  I live in a fabulous community:-)
These were some Peony Roses for sale.  OMG they were gorjuss!  I just loooove these flowers!  Too expensive for me to buy, so I took a photo instead!
Thank you for visiting, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Fairy Flower Shop Decorations

Are these gorjuss or what?!  These were some decorations that were hanging in the Fairy Flower Shop up at the Festival last night.
The colours were so bright and vibrant - I just loved them!  Lot's of people were admiring them as well as I was.
Thank you for visiting, {HUGS} from me to YOU:_)

Snow Much Fun!

This little girl just loved the snowman at the festival and even gave him a hug!  How cute!  We had a snow machine to make some snow and it was very Christmassy!  Even though we don't get snow here in Auckland it was lot's of fun!
Snowballs were flying everywhere!  Luckily there was no sun otherwise "Frosty" would have melted all over the pavement!
"Frosty kept cool in spite of all the children touching and hugging him!  So cute!  Thanks for visiting, {Hugs} from me to YOU:-)

I Have A Fan!

This cute bloke winked at me!  So I took his photo!  I had been at the Titirangi Village Glow Festival for about an hour and I needed to sit down.  I found a seat and sat down opposite this cute bloke! Look at those cute ears!  I was clicking my tongue at him to get his attention.  There was lot's of nice "smells" around - sausages being barbecued, and I am sure he could smell them!

Another Fairy

Here is another face painting fairy at the festival  Love those wings!
I loved the colours on her dress!  And her wings truly sparkled!

She was so pretty all dressed up in her fairy costume!  The kids at the festival loved the fairies!
Thanks for visiting, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Titirangi Village Glow Festival 28-11-2015

These are some of the photo's I took last night at the festival.  They light the Christmas lights once it is dark and the whole village "glows"! But before that happens there is a whole lot of fun going on!  These were the first photo's I took!  Is she gorjuss or what?!
She had lots' of flowers on her dress, and in her hair.  So pretty!
As you can see, we both use the same gems!  While she adorns her beautiful face with hers, mine go on y cards!
I forgot to ask her name, but she was the face painting fairy!  The festival started at 4 pm and unfortunately it was raining when I went, but it did clear up somewhat.
The first face painting customer gets some "bling" added to her (already) gorjuss wee face!  Such concentration!
And here is The Princess with her new face paint, with her mum! Two happy people!

A Busy Week!

This is a basket of cards I have been busy making for the last couple of weeks.  I am meeting up with two people tomorrow who want to buy some of my cards, so The Elves and I have been working our butts off making cards and tags and other Christmassy stuff!  There is about 40 plus cards and about 30 Christmas tags of various kinds!
This is how I decorated the basket!  I thought it looked nicer with some Christmas decorations on than just a plain old basket!
And this is a small card I made for one of my neighbours.  Their place backs onto my place and last night when I went to close the curtains, I discovered some gorjuss pretty coloured flashing lights in one of their tree's!  I could see the lights clearly and it was such a nice surprise to see the lights flashing on and off!   So I made them this card and thanked for for sharing their lights with me!
I used Jac paper on this card and after sprinkling it with glitter, I inked up my Woodands textured embossing folder from SU and run it through my Cuttlebug.  I used purple and pink Brilliance inks.
I put the card in their letterbox earlier today so they will get it when they collect their mail! Thank you for dropping by, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Apologies To Lorraine!

Lorraine has left a new comment on your post "Would YOU Do This?":

So sorry that you had this reaction from your friend. When we lend things of course we expect them to be returned in the same shape, however, that doesn't mean that accidents or problems can occur. I would have sucked it up and let it go. If, as you say it didn't hinder the performance, what's the difference. Some people don't like anything that isn't perfect. I've been to events when people get all disturbed about wooden stamps getting ink on them. They still work with the wood being stained. Who cares. If she's snubbing you, it's she who is missing out and needs to work on being a better friend. I'm sure you can find another demo who would be glad to have you as a customer.

A big "oops!" I accidentally deleted your comment Lorraine! But it was still in my trash bin so I was able to 'copy and paste' it here instead of in the comments box!  Thanks Lorraine:-)
Just adding to Lorraine's comment, I do have a new Stampin' Up! demonstrator and she is awesome!  I am very happy with her:-) Not mentioning any names but her's begins with an "E"!  She knows who she is and she knows I was not talking about an experience I had with her:-)
Thanks, {HUGS} from me to you:-)
