Sparkly Card.

This card was hard to photograph due to the soft colours I used.  I stamped the dotty background first, then attached the fine silver thread using a tiny glue dot.  I stamped and punched the flowers and attached those over the silver thread.  I lastly added gems to the center of each flower.  Below is a close up of the flowers and silver threads.  The cards looks way better in real life!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Coffee? - Tea For Me!

I am desperately trying to keep my mind busy, and stop listening to the news on the radio!  Anyway I made this card using some card fronts that Andrea gave me!  I added the green ribbon, the sequins, the gem on the little flower, and also the DSP behind the picture.  It was a nice simple and fun card to make!  I have another three card fronts Andrea gave me, so I have a few more cards to create!  Thank you Andrea!  Please pop over to her blog and check out her cards etc!
Ok, once again, thank you for dropping by!  Have a SUNSHNE day!  Stay well, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

A Little Calm In Among The Chaos!

I managed to make a card this morning!  I got sick of listening to the radio and all the stuff about this dam virus, so I switched the radio off and decided to make a card!  I'e had an overdose about the virus.  I know I need to keep up to date with what is happening here in my own country, but honestly, I've had enough for now! I water coloured a piece of water colour paper with 3 different shades of ink. (I run a wet brush over different Stampin' Up! ink pads) Then I die cut it and stamped the words using black Stazon ink.  I stuck it to a piece of gold card and then on to the  pink/lilac card.  The tiny diamonds on the card (hard to see) are very tiny and are nail embellishments.  They look very sparkly IRL!  I added the two angel wings (Ali Express buy) and finally added a die cut flower.  I added another die cut flower cut out from some vellum, and added a tiny bit of gold thread to the flower.  I put a pink gem on the center of the flower and the card was done!  There wasn't much to it so it was a fairly quick and easy card to make.
Ok, thanks for dropping by!  Stay well and have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

NZ In Total Lock Down At Midnight Tonight

Well, here I am again, and still no crafting to post!  But I have something that just might make you smile!
Here in NZ, and all around the world, people are putting teddy bears in their windows.  This is so that when parents take their kids for a walk, they kids can see how many teddy bears they can spot, and this will, hopefully, help keep the kids happy and entertained!
Not one to miss the boat, I have put my teddy, "Big Ted", in my front window with a sign that say's, Free Smiles!" This is a photo of him, hope he makes YOU smile!  I might add some red hearts and stick them on the window beside Big Ted!
Stay well, stay connected with those you love, and be kind.  This is a challenging time for everyone.  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me (and Big Ted!) to YOU:-)

NZ In Lock Down.

Well as of yesterday at mid day, we are in lock down.  We are on level 3 but by tomorrow I think it goes up to level 4.  Shops, schools, cafes, restaurants etc and most businesses are all closed.  I am in quarantine at home.  I have people who are helping me, so that is good.  Only essential services are open, such as super markets, pharmacies, petrol stations, Vets etc are staying open. I can't leave the property so have a group of people helping me.  It's scary times for sure.  My laptop and my crafts are keeping me company at the moment!   I had a lovely video chat with a good friend who is way up North yesterday.  It was SO good to actually SEE someone and talk to her!  We have been friends since we were ten, and I don't get to see her much because of the geographical  distance between us, so it was extra special to see her yesterday.  She is making sure I stay positive through this difficult time:-)
The road outside is eerily quiet, something that only happens very rarely.  There are 3 schools on this road, and the traffic in the mornings is normally chaotic.  Not today, it is very quiet.  A few cars up and down, but not much.  I will definitely enjoy the peace!
Take care everyone, stay well!
Hugs from me!

Wash Your Paws!

Trying to inject a little bit of humour into this Covid 19 virus pandemic, I have been telling my cats to wash their paws after using the litter tray.  This photo was Romeo's attempt!  He sat in the tub in the laundry!!  I think he thought I said, "wash your BUTT!" No water involved!  Great attempt though!
I am now in total isolation at home, I can no longer go for a walk.  I have to stay on my own property.  No face to face contact with anyone.  It's scary and giving me a lot of anxiety.  None of my friends have contacted me to see how I am, or if I need help.  I am really disappointed, and it makes me feel more isolated.
On a positive note, I have just found a group of reliable people (Paramedics) who are willing to help me with grocery shopping for anything I need.  They will also pick up cat food from the Vet for me,as Romeo has to have a special diet.  Thank God for people like them.
Stay safe, be kind to one another, and keep crafting!  Hugs from me:-)

Covid 19 Has Me Isolated.

My life has suddenly changed in the last 48 hours.  I have been strongly advised by my Specialist, that because of the Covid 19 virus, and because I have such a poor immune system, that I am no longer allowed to travel on buses, or go to shopping malls or supermarkets or anywhere there are crowds.  This is going to seriously impact my life because my entire life revolves around catching buses to where ever I need or want to go to.  I am not allowed to drive, so buses are my only mode of transport. My specialist told me to keep off buses and stay away from crowded places.  The yesterday when speaking with one of the local Pharmacists, he too strongly advised the same.  I had caught a bus to get to the Pharmacy as I wanted to have the flu injection.  I get it early because of my health issues.  I was unable to get it done at my GP's because they were fully booked for the entire week.  After discussing my health with the Pharmacist I decided not to catch the bus home and walk instead.
Not being able to catch the bus is going to seriously impact on my life, and I am not sure how things will go.  It will mean I am virtually isolated at home.  I have recently started going ice skating again, but that too will now stop because I have to get two buses there and two buses home!  Bummer!  I am not happy about any of this.
Luckily, I have a cousin who said she will help with my grocery shopping.  She called me today and after explaining my situation to her she said she would help.  She lives close by, so that's good.
Changing the topic, I took 60 cards I had made, to the hospital for them to sell, and the funds go to Hospice.  I handed them over to the receptionist there and she said the shop was closed for two months, because the ladies who volunteer there were not allowed to be there due to this virus.
I left the cards with her, but wish I hadn't.  My feeling is that not all of the cards will make it to the shop.
I'm due to go back to the hospital in two months as I have another appointment.  I will check to see how many of my cards made it to the shop!  Just a gut feeling I had.
I haven't made any cards this week, but might get something made over the weekend.
Well, I can't go anywhere so I may as well stamp!!  Have a great weekend!  Stay well!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Envelope Art

I made this envelope pocket using a white envelope that came in the mail with a bill inside.  I cut the top to make two flaps. then I covered the front of the envelope with some DSP.  The white envelope had a "window" in it, so I measured and cut the DSP so it too had a "window" in it, so you can see the tag inside.
Below you can see the entire tag, which I randomly sponged and stamped.  I found a postage stamp and glued that onto the envelope.
Below is the back of the envelope, and the back of the tag.  This was a lot of fun to make!
And here below is what the envelope looked like before I altered it.  So much fun!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE  day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)  Stay well!

Pumpkin Anyone?!

I have this patch of garden that is in the shade mostly, and doesn't really have much growing in it.  I always throw my vegetable and fruit peelings in there and it eventually turns into wonderful compost.  Several moths ago I threw some pumpkins seeds from a pumpkin I bought, in there.  Just threw them in, didn't dig them in or anything.  That area has had very little water because we are in the middle of a serious drought and haven't had rain for ages.
Anyhow, as you can see, the pumpkin seeds have grown into several vines, and are producing pumpkins!

There are lots of bright yellow flowers on the vines.

And below is the first pumpkin I picked the other day!  It was about 25 inches round, so it was a decent size.  I added some other vegetables and cooked it in my slow cooker.  OMG it tasted so divine!!  It was nice and young and tasted so sweet!  I have some left which I will cook later.  And I will return the seeds to garden so I can keep growing them!
But wait...there's more!  I am also growing...bird seed!!  Not intentionally, but because I feed the wild birds with seeds, they drop it on the lawn and it is growing!  The flowers are a lovely soft pink colour.  I'm not sure what sort of seed it is, but it's doing well in my lawn!
Last but not least is a pretty sunrise photo I tool early one morning.  We usually get this at sunset but this day it was in the morning.
