Mr. Bunny!

Above is the card I posted in an earlier post, and hadn't quite finished.  I finally put the words and flowers on to finish it!  Big job!  The tree die I used is a new one.  I thought it looked like the trees around here with no leaves on!
The stamp set above is a new one.  I have no idea whose brand it is as it was sold as an un-branded set.  I haven't used it yet.

This is my neighbours tree, what was left of it after it came down in a storm on my place earlier in the year. (photo above) It was cut right down a few days ago.  While I was happy to see it go because it became dangerous, I was also sad because I used to love watching the Tuis and the Wood Pigeons perch on the branches.  I's see them every morning and then again later in the afternoon as the sun was setting.  I hope they found another tree to perch in!

Below is the "after" photo once the tree was cut down.  It lets a lot more sun and light into my place now.  After it was cut down and the guys had gone, the Blackbirds and thrushes all came down to check for bugs and things on the lawn!
Thanks for dropping by, hope you have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Hello Sunshine!

What do you do on a cold wet Winters day?!  You make your own SUNSHINE!  So here's the card I made! I used my MFT "Full Of Sunshine" stamp set for the words, and the MFT matching die for the die cut word, "Sunshine."   Below is "Romeo-Valentino" asleep on my desk beside my laptop!

A Little Ray of Sunshine

My intention was to make at least one Christmas card today.  I failed miserably!  Somehow the Christmas card got "lost" in space and I ended up making this card instead!  That's how it goes sometimes:-)  I used a new die (below) to make the sun.

The problem was, the die leaves a square indent after I die cut it:-(  (Above) So I tried removing the die after I die cut the card, and placed the die cut card in between some clean paper.  One sheet on the bottom and one sheet on top.  I then rolled it through my Bigshot Plus and guess what??  NO INDENT!!  It had gone!  So give this idea a try if you have dies that leave and indent you don't want.
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Butterfly Card

The butterfly card was made last night.  A reasonably quick and easy card to make.  The word stamp is from "Crafters Companion".
The stamp above is a new one I got a couple of days ago.  The problem is, part of the top right hand eye brow is "missing" when you stamp it.  Quick email and photo to the company, and they are going to send me a replacement stamp.  (Thanks to Meetu at Krafters Cart here in Auckland! Awesome company!)  I have sent the stamp back to them and they will order another one in for me. On this image, I hand drew the missing bit and started to decorate the image (below).
I'm not sure if I have put too many gems on or not. The rest of the "eye" I am going to colour with either watercolour pencils or markers.  The image fascinates me 😊  I'll post it again when it is finished.
Below is a card I made during the week, but it never got finished.  I need to put some words on the card.  Big decision - what words to stamp?!  It just needs something small on the right hand side opposite the bunny.  Deep *sigh*.  Another card to re-post!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day.😊 {HUGS} from me to YOU! 💜

"Full of Sunshine" and a Car Crash

I made this card using my Foxy Friends stamps and punch from SU.  The words are from "My Favourite Things" - "Full of Sunshine".  Look at all those gorjuss SUNSHINE words!  Sunshine for every occasion!  Below is a photo of the stamp set.
These are some photos I took around 5 pm yesterday.  This trailer came undone from the car it was attached to, and crashed through my neighbours fence.  It took out a big chunk of her (new) fence as well as part of her deck.  No-one was injured thank goodness.  The crash made a heck of a noise, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I went out with my camera!
I have had people say to me what a dangerous road I live on, but it's not the road, it's the stupid DRIVERS!  In every crash I have photographed (and there's been alot), it has always been the drivers fault.  Speed, alcohol/drugs, inattention.  The road has been tested multiple times and there is nothing wrong with it.
It's made me a bit wary of walking up and down the road now!  Anyway, thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

"Hello Sunshine!"

I don't know how I managed to make this card today because it is so icy cold and my fingers are numb!!  But I was determined to make at least ONE card, so here it is!  I've been re-heating a wheat bag over and over  all morning just to keep my fingers warm so I could make the card!  I hate Winter:-(
And here is "His Royal Hairyness", Romeo!  He was in the bath one night chasing his tail!  He loves playing in the bath and has a great time chasing his tail or playing with his toys.  When I adopted him and bought him home, the first thing he did was check out the bathroom and jump in the bath!  In Summer when it is hot, I often find him lying on his stomach in the bath, to keep cool!  (Note to self: must try it sometime!)
I haven't done alot of crafting lately because I have been busy chasing tradies to either fix my fence or straighten my tree that the truck hit.  So far, out of about eight companies I contacted about the fence, only ONE has replied and he is coming tomorrow to give me a quote for the insurance company.   I am still trying to find someone to fix the tree.
Ok that's me for now, hope you are having a SUNSHINE day!  Thanks for dropping by, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

A Card, A Rainbow, And Some DIY!

I made the card using 2 stamps from an SU stamp set called "So Very Much".  Using my Stamp perfect tool I stamped "Thank You" twice to make sure I got a good ink coverage. How I ever managed without this tool I don't know!  It's my 'go to' tool anytime I use clear stamps.  I used a CTMH ink pad in "Pansy".  Strangely enough, when you run your fingers over the stamped words, it feels like it is embossed, kind of raised.  Don't ask me why because I don't know!  It is just an ordinary stamp pad, not an embossing one.  The flowers are some from the paint charts I punched out awhile back.  I added some sequins and the card was done.
This rainbow above was one of four I saw, the others were a little more pale than this one.  The tall tree on the right is what is left of the tree that came down on my place in the storm back in April.  It's on a neighbours place but overhangs onto my place.  It's coming down completely on June 27th...watch this space!
Above and below is one of my Big Shot Plus platforms.  It's severely buckled and no matter how I used it, it was getting more buckled.  After trying to flatten it in some hot tap water, or putting something heavy on it to keep it flat, it was not going to straighten:-(
It was going to cost me over $60 for a new set of two plates, and that is a lot of money for me.  So I made my own plate!!!  I had a large sheet of acrylic at home, so I measured it and cut my own plate!!  Yes, one side IS crooked, but I don't care, it still works perfectly!!  The piece of acrylic I had was a smidgen (think 1 millimeter at the most) thicker than the original plate, so to use it in my Big Shot Plus, I took out the "A" plate and used the other one that is used for embossing, and everything works perfectly!  I can die cut and emboss with ease...and I SAVED MYSELF OVER $60!!  Woohooo!  I used a hacksaw with a fine blade to cut the acrylic plate to size and it was hard to control the saw, so I got a bit of a wobblyly edge on one side.  But it makes no difference to me, it works fine.
I had a Cuttlebug machine for many years, and I only ever bought new plates once.  I've had the Big Shot Plus for about 16 months and one plate has already buckled.  I have kept the buckled plate as it can still be used if necessary.  It's just that it is buckled quite badly and I find it more challenging to use.  Anyway, that's me for now!  Hope you are having a SUNSHINE day!  Thanks for dropping by, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Sundays Cards

The card above, and the one below, is made from a set of stamps I got off ebay late last year.  This is the first time I have played with them. I used some stitched oblong dies on the top card, and on the card below I used my wonky stitched square dies.  The pink dotted card above, and the blue flower card below are some new sheets of card I got from "Spotlight" last week.  I might have to go back and get some more because I really like it, and it is on sale right now!  It's a nice firm card, which I like.
Below is my ICAD card for day two.  The theme is "Fireworks"!
It's a wet day here today, so I am inside  making cards, and drinking lots of hot chocolate!  The problem is, it's also dark and even though I have the lights on, it's still not all that bright.  *Sigh*.  I hate days like this. They depress me. Hope you're having a good day! Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

ICAD 2018 - I'm Giving It A Go!!

To find out more about ICAD 2018, please check Lorraines blog post,  Ready, Set, Go -ICAD 2018.  ICAD stands for "Index Card A Day, and this year I am giving it a go!  I don't know how consistent I will be, so it will be interesting!  I did this card last night, which for me, was June 1st which is the first day of ICAD.   When I drew the snowman, I had no idea ICAD was about to begin.  But because it was drawn on an index card (thank you Lorraine!)  I am using as my first card.  I think the prompt is Roller Coaster.  Now, as you can see, there's no roller coaster in my picture, so here's where YOUR imagination comes in!  Maybe the snowman is dreaming about riding a roller coaster?  Or maybe he is ON a roller coaster and is saying, 'Do you see what I see?"  Or does he just have stardust and sequins in his eyes??!  He's a dreamer.  It's up to YOU the reader to decide.  Have fun.  Let me know what you come up with!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)
