Cats Wearing Face Masks!

Th cat stamps & dies (above) are from Sizzix Tim Holtz.  I've had them for some time but have not used them much.  Anyhow, these cats have face masks on to protect them from the Covid 19 virus!  I searched my stamps for animals that would look good with the masks on & I came across the cats and decided they were just right!  I stamped the cats onto some card I had water coloured with pink & blue ink.  Then I die cut them and attached them to the black card using sponge tape.  I made the face masks using a small piece off a tissue and used dental floss for the ties.  I added some sequins and a gold border and the card was done.  So much fun making the masks!  I think the cats faces say it all!
The "Hugs" card above was a really quick one.  I stamped the background using a large SU stamp and glued it to the pale apricot card.  I already had the word "Hugs" die cut so I added it to a piece of apricot card and stuck it to the bottom of the card.  I also added 2 thin strips of shiny gold card above and below the apricot panel.  I lastly added some brass coloured sequins.
I recently die cut a stash of word dies so I have a pile of different ones to choose from wen making a card.  It saves time to have them already die cut and ready to use. I mostly die cut them from black card.

Growing Birdseed and Pumpkins

Above is a photo of some flowering birdseed that has grown because the birds have dropped the seeds int the lawn.  There are now dozens of these plants growing wild.  Either in my lawn or in some of my pot plants.  I've left them there to grow and see what happens.
Below are some of the many pods on the plants.  I opened one to see that was inside them.  It looked like beans to me.  I have no idea but I think maybe that is where the seeds will be?  Maybe they will dry and become seeds?  I have no idea!  It will be interesting to see what happens!
Below is another pumpkin that is growing nicely.  These were self seeded after I threw the pumpkin seeds into the garden.  This bit of garden is just for composting.  All the food peelings etc get thrown in here and it makes wonderful compost.  I have let the pumpkin spread across the lawn as there is plenty of room.
No cards today, just garden stuff!  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to you:-)

There is Always "Hope".

Here's another black & white card I made late yesterday.  I used some fine white/clear glitter on the wings.  The word Hope is also sparkly, I used my clear gelly roll pen to glitter it. Sadly you really don't get the best view of this card on here.  IRL it looks so much prettier and very sparkly.
Below is a close up of the glittered wings, which looks very messy on here!  IRL it looks a lot better, I promise!

Black and White

It feels like an eternity since I posted anything here:-(  This isolation thing is certainly a challenge!  Anyhow, I made a card!  I stamped with white embossing ink, and then embossed it with white "Wow" embossing powder.  It has a slight silvery sparkle to it, which you can't see on here.
My motivation has faded as the days go by but I am trying and end up dabbling!  I am waiting on some stamps I ordered to arrive. With our postal service being closed, things are taking their time in getting to me.
Anyhow, thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)  Stay well, stay safe!  Kia kaha!

Feeling Stressed!

I made the cat face above, using some thick grey felt.  The black felt is self adhesive, all the rest I used material glue to stick it.  I saw the cat face on Pinterest and hand drew it on to a piece of scrap card.  It was made as a coaster for your cup of tea or coffee. I'm not sure what I will use mine for.
The photo below is what I drew about some of the things I have been doing during this lock down.  The card measures 5 1/2 inches by 7 3/4 inches.  It gave me some thing to do and kept my mind busy.
Today is day 28 of being at home in isolation for me.  I am starting to feel frustrated, as I just want to be able to do my own grocery shopping, and not rely on others to do it for me.  While I am very grateful for those who are helping me, I look forward to being able to do it myself.
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)
Stay well!  Kia kaha.

Sunsrise Over The Waitakere Ranges

This is what I see out of my kitchen window every morning.  I am nestled in between two hills, and as the sun rises from the East (behind me in this photo) it lights up the very tops of the trees in the West, which is in front of me. (This photo is looking to the West) It's only at this time of year that I see this view, and every time I see it, I love it.
At the end of the day, I see a similar view, looking towards the East, as the sun sets.
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE

Isolation Day 18 Bits And Pieces.

I've been baking to distract me from the fact that today is day 17 of isolation at home, for me. No leaving the property for 18 days = no fun!  Top photo is of my gluten free blue berry muffins. They were SO light and yummy!  Bottom photo is of mu Gluten Free Cornflake and Sultana biscuits, also yummy!  Crunchy and chewy, just ow I like them!
These coloured squares and flowers are made from some origami paper I had stashed away.  Each square is just over 1 1/2 inches square.  I looked at the squares and the SU Pansy punch was sitting right beside me, so I started punching out some flowers.

I made these little inspirational cards using some scraps pf water coloured paper I had made awhile ago..

I will add some stars and things to the last two cards when I get around to it.  My Mojo has all but gone, but I'm trying!
Below is a card that wasn't supposed to be!  I stamped and water coloured the bunny, and didn't like it and was going to trash it.  However it was sitting on my desk with bits of card all around, so I randomly grabbed some pieces and (almost) made it into a card!  It needs some embellishments to finish it off.  Some gems/sequins and maybe one of the flowers I punched out above.  I'll play with it and see what happens!
Below is a photo of one of the gorjuss sunshiney yellow flowers on my wild pumpkins.  You can even see the ant that was crawling on the flower!  There are plenty of pumpkins coming on, just as well I  like pumpkin!  The vines are now growing across part of my lawn, but I'm fine with that.
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)
