Mothers Day Card

Ok, here is the hat I made the other day (see post below). I have made it into a Mothers Day card for my mum, which I will give her this Sunday. I added a few more layers to the hat & stuck them together using silicone. I found this gave the hat more height. I stamped the basket twice & stuck it to the card using sponge tape to give it some height. I stamped the leaves before I did that. I made some flowers using hand made paper & added gems & pearls to the centers. I stamped some grass & stamped the kitten on scrap card cut it out & stuck it to the card. On the side of the card I have used a Heidi Grace stamp & added hand made flowers to that as well. I added a garden tool charm & also garden gloves. (My mum loves gardening!) I sprinkled the card with tiny punched out flowers & added some Kindy Glitz to the basket & kitten. I added a pale green (it matches to green on the garden tool) insert & used a fancy border punch on the edge. Lastly I added the tiny butterfly.
I THINK that's all I did! Oh yes, I coloured it using my Copics! Inside the card it say's "Happy Mothers Day"!
(My mum will love it - she loves all my cards...)

The Cat In The Hat!

In photo number one "Miss Bella" is modelling a little pink hat I made using my circle nesties! She was very obliging & got an extra helping of cat biscuits for her co-operation! In photo two (above right) is a close up of the hat. Not very clear as the closer up I bring it, the more out of focus it gets. It was made using one large circle (about 2 1/2 inches) & about 16 -20 (I lost count after ten!) smaller (about 1 3/4 inches) circles. They are loosely stacked & glued on top of each other then glued to the larger circle. I added some beads & a paper flower to finish it. You can make the 'stack' of circles as high or as low as you like.
I got this idea from Wanda's blog, she has some fabulous stuff on there! Check it out! Thank you Wanda!

Trifold Pocket Card

This idea came from Beate Johns on Splitcoast Stampers. Click on her name her name & when you get to SCS type in her name & you will find this card. Check out her tutorial for this card! The hardest part of this card, for me, was getting the scallop edge right! After cutting out the pocket I then cut the scallop bit & glued that in place. I added a blue & yellow strip of card across the front & cut out two circles using my nesties. On to that I added a round stick on button thing with "Celebrate" on it, that just happened to have the same coloured stripes as the pocket! I used my round tab punch from SU to make a tab for the card inside. I used Old Olive card from SU & some rust coloured card for the insert card.

The Peaceful Heart...

I stitched around the edge of a white card in lilac cotton, then used green, rocket red gold, yellow & blue Brilliance ink to ink up the stamp. (Hero Arts F2130 Peaceful Heart)
I used two scrap book 'nails' to hold the white card to the blue card, (as well as double sided tape) putting it on an angle because I thought it looked better that way!
This was a quick & easy card to make!

How Does Your Garden Grow..?!

This is another Hero Arts stamp. I have stamped the stamp onto white card & used a circle nestie to cut it out. I have then cut out a scallop circle nestie & placed the white circle in the center. I then stamped the stamp onto blue, pink & yellow card & used my tiny circle nesties to cut out each flower. (The three biggest flowers only) The tiny flowers were coloured using my copics. (I am addicted to those things!) I glued the coloured flowers over the top of the stamped ones, matching up the stems.
I then stamped part of the stamp on either side of the card & attached the pink scallop circle to the white card using sponge tape.
On the bottom & top of the card I stamped one line of words from a Wordprints Hero Arts stamp - S1234 Flower. I added tiny gems to the centers of some of the flowers.

Friend

I saw the idea for this card on "some one's" blog but forgot to mark it, so I have no idea where it came from! Mine is slightly different as I have used different stamps. I think it was a SU stamp they had used & had added tiny punched holes...wish I could find it again! Oh well, these things happen!
The hardest part of this card (for me) was getting the scallop border even!
The flowers (I used a flower punch) & the scallops each have a tiny gem on them, but they look like black beads on here! The stamps are from Heidi Grace.

Oh-Sew-Easy!

Now here's something I haven't done for awhile..stitched my cards! Thought it was about time I dusted off the sewing machine this morning! I stitched the edge first then stamped the image. (Stampendous UV012 Roads of Happiness) I coloured it using my copics & then layered it onto a piece of scrap book paper, then finally onto the pink card. I added gems to the corners of the card & to the girls hair & side of the car by her arm. Lastly I added crystal Kindy Glitz.
