Clear Stamp Storage!

My first photo, below, shows some of the beautiful Autumn trees I see from my kitchen window. As you can see, they are slowly losing their leaves, which means Winter is not far away. Winter is not my favourite time of year, as it gets so wet and cold.
These next photo's are of how I am storing my clear stamps. I purchased some clear cd sleeves, and have put the stamps inside. SO much easier to find what I want.

The last photo shows the empty cd sleeve, beside the sleeve with one of my clear stamps inside. I have written the catalogue number and name of each stamp on a piece of card which is inside the cd sleeve with the stamp. I find it a lot easier to find which stamp I am looking for, and I also made some clear dividers with each stamp category written on it. It took me a day to get all this done. Gelli Plate Cards.

All of these cards are around 5 inches square. I watched a quick video by Tracey Dutton, who owns Lavinia Stamps, on making these cards, and was inspired to make some. I used a square gelli plate to make the backgrounds. Here's what I did: I used a brayer to roll on some LS Della Blue ink on to the gelli plate. Then I used my fan rush and carefully flicked on small splatters of various colours of mica infused inks, all from LS. Once I had done that, I carefully placed a piece of white cardstock on top of the gelli plate, and smoothed it over with my hand.  Then I lifted the cardstock up and the back ground was made.  You can see some back grounds I made further down in here.  It's a lot of fun and you never get the same patterns twice.
Once I had the back ground made I then chose the stamps I wanted and stamped them on to the card. I used a circle mask o make the moon and used a small stencil brush to brush on a small amount of Della Blue ink around the edge of the mask to get the moon shape. I stamped different words on each card, and added some glitter glue around the moon.
These are easy cards to make, and you could very quickly mass produce cards in this style.
These last four cards are the back grounds I made.  So quick and so much fun to do!

New Cards on Friday!

These cards have loaded up in the reverse order, as you will see by the last card. I blame it on the internet Gremlins! I used two different stencils, and two different ink colours on the background on the top card.
On this card, above, I used a background card I had made earlier, and stamped the images on, as well as attaching some wooden cogs.
I used a "Visible Image" stamp for the card above, and stamped the image in Versa Fine Clair Nocturne ink.  I use this black ink pad for all my stamping. It's a waterproof ink and is a nice 'black' colour.
This card, below, should have loaded up before the one above, but it didn't. It is a close up of part of the card below. The hat is attached with some sponge tape to give it some dimension, rather than being 'flat'. I also 'stitched' the laces on the hat, by hand. I used some gold Lustre Polish on a piece of black card, for the gold backing card. In reality it is very sparkly. I stamped the mages on to a piece of Lavinia Stamps Dream Scape's paper. I have a pad of their 6x6 papers.  They are sooo pretty! The card measures about 8x5 inches.  For some reason I have trouble making a 'normal size' card! This card was lot's of fun to create, and I am sure I will make some more like this! Thanks for dropping by! Have a SUNSHINE day! Two Cards on Tuesday!

I made the card above, this morning. It looks better in real life.  I am entering it in a card contest at Lavinia Stamps. It took me a while to complete because there was lots of colouring using a stencil brush and an ink pad. I used some white pan pastel over the top of some of the image to give it a more 'misty' look.
Another card I made using some Lavinia stamps. The white Dandelion heads were embossed with some white embossing powder.  I must say, I enjoy embossing a lot more now since I bought the Ranger Heat Tool, as it doesn't blow the embossing powder off the card, like my old Milwaukee Heat gun does. And the Ranger one is so much lighter, and shaped like a hair dryer, which is much easier for me to hold. Ok, that's me for now, thank you for dropping by! Have a SUNSHINE day!
