Misty Moon!

This was the moon at 7 am this morning!  A little bit misty, and just peeking through the trees.  I much prefer natural lighting rather than turning the power on.  So, when I can, I throw open the curtains and let in as much natural light as possible.  And this is what I saw when I did that this morning!
Within minutes the sky was getting lighter, and the moon was disappearing.  The moon had a misty look about it this morning.  It wasn't clear, as these photo's show.
As usual, I was outside in my pj's with the camera!  These were taken from my back porch, looking West.
That tree in the photos will soon have buds on it - Spring is just around the corner!  Yippee!
I haven't made any cards recently, I have lot's of "other" things going on and my creativity is just a bit slow for now.
Thanks for dropping by, enjoy your weekend!

A Nice Surprise!

I had my old compost bin and fireplace removed yesterday. I knew there was self planted potatoes growing  there but didn't think they would have any potatoes on yet.
The plants were small and didn't have any flowers on yet, so it was a nice surprise when I ended up with this big bowl full of spuds! As you can see, I wasn't the only one interested in them!  I had some for lunch and they were so yummmm!
This card was very simple and quick to make.
I lightly sponged some Sunshine Yellow ink around the edges of the "Thank You" piece of card.  There is a lot of white space on the card and I had "issues" with that.  Do I leave it as it is or add something to it??  I don''t usually make cards that have lot's of white spaces left, so this card was/is a challenge for me!
We have another gorjuss stunning sunny today, and I am going to make the most of it! Spring is just around the corner and I have already seen tiny buds on some of the blossom tree's.  Yay!  That means SUMMER is coming:-)
Enjoy your day, whatever you do!  Thanks for dropping by, {HUGS}  from me to YOU:-)

75th Birthday Card

The same friend who asked me to make the 21st card in the post below this, also asked me to make a 75th Birthday card for someone she knows.  This is it!  She wanted the same flowery idea as the 21st card.  Both cards were lot's of fun to make!
The "Best Wishes" stamp and dies are both from Stampin' Up!.

"Flower Fairy!"

A close friend asked me if I would make her a card for her friends daughter who was turning 21.  She gave me the above photo of The Birthday Girl when she was much younger, and asked if I could include it on the card.  She wanted pink and lilac colours a this is what TBG likes.  She also wanted the word stamp that says, "Hopes and dreams and the possibilities of it all..."on the card. So this is the card I made for her today!  It was sooOoo much fun to make:-)
This is a close up of some of the flowers I used.  The big flowers are made using the SU Botanical Builder Framelit Dies.
I had huge issues trying to photograph this card, as the colours were not turning out right:-(  The card is a pretty green/yellow colour IRL, and sort of iridescent, but it just doesn't look like it on here!  It's driving me nuts, and I am already nutty enough without any help!!  Thanks for dropping by, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

"Evening Silhouettes"

These photos were taken from my back steps, in the pouring rain, just a short time ago!
I noticed a pink/orange glow peeking above my kitchen curtains, so I opened them and saw a silhouette of trees on a pretty pink/orange sky.  I grabbed my camera and put my sparkly hot pink gumboots on (!) and went out on the back steps to take some photos.
The rain stopped long enough for me to get some photos.  The photo above is the garden path bathed in the glow from the sky.  The puddles were all pink and orange!
By the time I took this last photo, the colours were fading fast.  Can you see the "bird" in this photo?! By the time I got inside and put my camera away, the sky was almost jet black.  Just as well  I had spotted that pink/orange glow above the curtains!
Thanks for dropping by, have a great week!
