I 'swiped' various coloured inkpads down a piece of white card to create the back ground for this card. I had made the background some time ago and cannot recall which ink pads I used - sorry! Then I stamped on of the Suzanne Canon stamps I have, on to the background. I punched out some tiny flowers using some coloured paper and stuck those to the card, as well as a couple of clear glass drops. I adhered the card top to a piece of black card stock, then on to a piece of very chunky glittery card. It made a loud crunch sound as I cut it, so I hope I haven't made the blade on my cutter blunt! Lastly I adhered this to another piece of black card stock. A quick and easy card to put together. Seeing as we are into Spring here, I thought it was the right time to post this card on here! We have also just gone on to Daylight Saving, which I am enjoying! I love having that extra hour of daylight in the evening. Although I slept in this morning - I blame it on my two cats for not waking me up an hour earlier, as they usually do! Maybe they too haven't adjusted to being an hour ahead yet! Anyway, this is my card for today. Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for dropping by! Have a SUNSHINE day! Remember to always be your authentic self, and shine bright each and every day!
Hello! My name is Sunshine! I live with a rare, invisible and potentially fatal condition that puts me in hospital often, without warning. I am partially sighted with limited vision. When I am well I like to make cards! I also love photography. I have 2 gorjuss Purr-ritos called "Bella-Rosa", & "Romeo-Valentino". They often end up in my photo's! My simply awesome Soulmate (who remains nameless) said I should create a blog...and here it is! Enjoy!

A Card, A Hospital Visit and Something Funny!
I had another hospital stay recently. I'm back home and slowly getting my life back on track. The photo above was taken when I was still in the Emergency Department. They were giving me IV fluids because I was so dehydrated, as well as some other drugs I needed. The photo below is the funny one! Some of the medications are quite strong and make me a bit doo-lally. Looking at the signs on the door to my bathroom, I couldn't figure out what the last symbol was! I could figure out the male/female sign, but the last one I thought...was it a UFO taking off or landing?!! After some time I got it...it was the sign for the shower! With all the drugs I'd been given, things were not making much sense to me! Anyhow, I thought it was funny, and once I got it, I had a bit of a giggle to myself! Luckily I was in a private room, so no-one else was there to wonder why I was giggling. Thankfully, in spite of not being well and feeling like bleh, I still had my sense of humour!
The card below was inspired by one Eileen Godwin had made. The stamp is called "The Green Man", and is from Lavinia Stamps. It's a stamp I never thought I would buy, because I didn't like it. I had seen many cards made with it, but didn't like them. I didn't like how they had been coloured in. That was, until I saw Eileen's video. I first used red and orange Elements ink over the LS Stencil (Abstract), and then stamped 'The Green Man' over the top. Lastly stamping the two Hares, also LS stamps. I also stamped the Lavinia Stamps stamp, as Eileen had done. I really like how this card turned out, and am really surprised how much I like 'The Green Man' stamp! All the cards I had seen using him, I just didn't like. They had all coloured in TGM, and it just didn't look right. (To me, anyhow.) This was a quick card to create. I think I might do some more like this, using different colours and stencils for the background.

Some Information!
I bought these two stamps at a craft show last year. I had seen cards made using them, online before hand and was lucky to find them at the show. They had been die cut around the dotted shape and made into shaker cards. However, I couldn't find which die they had used to cut out the shape. The closest I could find was a set of Spellbinder ides, but they weren't quite the right shape. Feeling disappointed I couldn't make my Christmas cards with the stamps, I left the stamps sitting on my desk. Throughout the year, I kept searching for the die, an even contacted the company that sold the stamps. They were not able to help. This morning I had another go at finding the matching die. I found a different company in the UK that sells these stamps, and sent them a message. Bingo! They replied back and gave me the name of the die! It is a Sue Wilson Die, called "Holly Lattice Frame" die, CED3125. Ok, so I now had the name of the die, but I needed to find where to buy it in NZ. I had no luck finding it here in NZ, but I did find it for sale in Australia. So I have just ordered it! Australia is just across the ditch as we say, so I should have the die in a week or so. Watch this space to see what I make! I sent a thank you note to the company in the UK who helped me. I have posted this incase there are others out there who are also looking for the matching die for these stamps. You never know! I always think I am the only
one searching for something, but there may e others looking for the same product.
I also have a new Lavinia Stamps stamp and stencil arriving soon. No cards to post today, I am feeling very low on energy today, and am having a 'quiet' day...in my pajama's! Yes! It's "International Pajama Day" today! (According to me!) Thanks for dropping by! Have a SUNSHINE day! Remember to always be your authentic self, and shine bright each and every day!

Shit Happens...!
This card looks way better in real life. The colours are much deeper, although still sort of pale. I used a Lavinia Stamps stencil for the background. I also used a LS heart shaped sticker stencil for the heart. I used a very small makeup rush to ink up just the inside edge of the heart. Although you can barely see it, the heart shape is colored with a soft pink Versafine Clair ink pad. The sentiment is two separate stamps from Inkylicious. For specific details of stamps, colours etc, leave me a message and I will reply. The flowers and heart have clear Wink of Stella on, so they are quite sparkly. The white card is a 5x5 inch size. This was fairly quick to create, and a kind of last minute idea. It was getting late when I decided to create this, and I am happy how it turned out! I hope you enjoy it! Ok, thanks for dropping by! Have a SUNSHINE day! Remember to always be your authentic self, and shine bright each and every day!

More Abstract Cards!
Both these cards were inspired by cards by Eileen Godwin. I really enjoy her abstract cards. There are some 'mistakes', however I am ok with that and had so much fun creating them! The tree stamp on the card above, it called Spirit Tree and it is one from the new Dream Witch LS collection. The Witch the card below, is called Hattie. Today is the perfect day to craft, here. It's wet and very windy and it's cold. I guess it's typical Spring weather...but I am not enjoying it! Roll on Summer so I can enjoy some hot weather and not have to wear so many layers of clothing! Ok, thanks for dropping by! Have a SUNSHINE day! Remember to always be your authentic self, and shine bright each and every day!

"Peace"
I made this card this morning, after being inspired by a card that Eileen Godwin had made. This card measures 8 by 4 1/2 inches. It's not perfect, however I am happy with how it turned out. I's a very simple uncluttered card, and I like that look. When it was finished, I layered it onto another piece of white card, and then onto some black card. I was never into abstract cards, until I discovered Eileen Godwin's work...then I was instantly hooked! The Christmas tree, and the word Peace, are both form Lavinia Stamps. I made the half circle and red .circle using circle stencils. The most challenging bit was getting those long lines in the right place, and making sure they were straight! Thanks for dropping by! Have a SUNSHINE day! Remember to always be your authentic self, and shine right each and every day!

A New Card Using Some of The New Lavinia Stamps!
Yay! here's is my first play with one of the new Witch stamps from the Dream Witch collection from Lavinia Stamps! This witch is called "Hattie," and here she is with the Flittermice mixing up a new potion! It's a good luck potion, and that means anyone looking at this is in for some good luck! I wonder what other potions she will make next?! There is sparkle and glitz on here, but hard to see. This was a fun card to make! Ok, I want you to turn out your light to see the next photo........
Here (below) is "Hattie" with some magical lights! One on the end of her Magic Wand, and two in the bubbles in the Cauldron! How fun is that! Now before you say it, I couldn't put the lights in the Flittermice's eyes because the little metal bits on each light, were too wide. It would have meant the lights would have been beside the eyes, not "in" the eyes. Unfortunate, but hey, This just meant I had to get creative and find another way to use the lights. I'm happy with where the lights are and think it makes the card look Magical. It's a shame you can't see the glitter and sparkle. O here it just looks dull and 'flat'.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my creation! I have a(nother) sore throat and head cold at the moment, so not feeling the best, but at least I'm home and not in hospital! I had a busy day yesterday, I had to go and pick up my phone that had been fixed. And rememer...I hate tech stuff, grrr!
Well I was prepared for things to be a challenge as it was when I dropped the phone off to be fixed. However, it all went very well, no headaches, no rolling on the floor throwing a tantrum! It took maybe half an hour to get all my data back on my phone and I was outta there and on my way home! The guy that served me both times, was brilliant! So patient, and so knowledgeable. When the phone was all done I asked him if his manage was available to speak to. He pointed to another guy standing at the counter. I said to the manager how amazing and helpful the guy that had served me had been. I also said could have gone to a closer store, but because I'd had bad service from the closer store, I had chosen to come to this one. I then thanked him and said to give this guy (who had served me) a pay rise! The two times I had dealt with the guy that had served me it was such a great experience...except when the tech stuff was beyond my understanding and I rolled on the floor throwing a tantrum! Anyway, I have my phone ack and it is working fine again. All done free of charge. No more tech stuff to deal with, yay!
Ok, thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day! Remember to always be your authentic self, and shine bright each and every day!
