New Cards

Here are two cards I made recently. The Halloween one was inspired by one I saw on a friends blog. (Thank you Nancy Ferb!) She is also a Stampin Up Demonstrator of many years. I used the SU Owl punch and punch him out in black as well as the leaves. The background card is dark blue. The other card has some Fiberglass Self Adhesive Tape on it and I have embossed it in silver and stuck it to the green card. The tape is available from your local (NZ & Aus) $2 store! Mine says it has 45 meters on it - cheap cheap cheap! I used the SU oval punches & stamps & the SU butterfly die to make this card. Thanks for visiting, {{HUGS}} from me to YOU:-)

Rangitoto Island From Mission Bay

Here is a very different view of Rangitoto Island. It was a misty rainy day that day with the wind blowing quite strong. After having lunch at Mission Bay beach we drove around the waterfront & found this walkway with a view over the ocean. After I walked a few metres out onto the walkway it was then I realised I don't actually like walking on bridges & things that are so high off the ground! Bit late by then, so I carried on & got these pics! Thanks for visiting, {{HUGS}} from me to YOU:-)

Browns Bay

My feet on the beach at Browns Bay recently! The water was icy cold but very refreshing...until my feet went numb & I couldn't feel a thing! I always have to take my shoes off & walk int he water..just can't resist! Rangitoto Island out in the ocean, not very far from land. This is one of the many extinct volcanoes that Auckland is build on & around. A view of Browns Bay beach, another cold day & it rained just as we headed back to the car! Guess who had their umbrella with them? Me! Rain was not going to stop me! Thanks for visiting, {{HUGS}} from me to YOU:-)

I Caught You A Rainbow!

The rainbow was coming from a glass which was on my kitchen bench. The light just caught it at the right angle for me to see it. The seagull was one I saw at Cornwallis beach today. It was quite windy & he was having trouble flying the way he wanted to go! It was a bit cold but we had a great time anyhow! "Ro-Ro" loves bubbles! He catches them & hits them with his paw, then looks around as if to say, "Where did it go?" He's quite funny! The baby boy card was made for someone who is having a baby shower soon.
