Lavinia Stamps Cards and Bookmarks!

Every time you get an order from Lavinia Stamps, you get a little chocolate with your order.  Each one is wrapped in paper with an image of some of the Lavinia Stamps stamps. Being a bit of a squirrel, I saved my papers and have made bookmarks with them! The images are much smaller than the actual stamps, and fit perfectly onto some scrap card I had.  One two of the bookmarks I stamped the co-ordinating stamps.  Lots of fun and kept me busy!
On the card above I have used the small LS Berry Wreath stamp  - stamping it three times to complete the circle.  I stamped Darcy and one of the small wild hares inside the circle.  I used a stencil brush to add the green around the wreath.  The star is really sparkly as I used some old Ice Gold Mica powder on it.  I coloured the berries with a red gel pen, and that too is sparkly.
 ,
On the first card below, I stamped the sentiment using a Suzanne Cannon stamp.  I glued the tiny wings above the sentiment.  I used a LS stencil and lightly rushed some lavender coloured Distress Oxide ink on a diagonal across the card from left to right. One the second card I used some of the LS Decorative Tape across the middle of the card.  I masked that and stamped the foliage and the mice. They sure do look like they're having a fun time!
On the card below I used my 4 inch circle gel plate to make the circle. Once it was dry I stamped Mooch and the hanging hearts.  Lastly I added some clear glass gems.

Ok that's all for now!  Thank you for dropping by, have a SUNSHNE day!  Remember to always be your authentic self and shine bright each and every day!

Lavinia Stamps Cards Plus More!

The card above uses an LS stamp and a Suzanne Cannon sentiment.  The stars were done with a stencil.
The card below was made using Poppy Stamps stamps.
The bunny card below was made using a couple of cheap dies from AliExpress.

Above is another card I made using Poppy Stamps stamps, and a Tim Holtz stencil.
The card below is another card.
And yet another LS card below!  The red and silver on the berries is sparkly gel pen.
And the very last card for today is also another LS card.  I used my scor-pal to score the background vertical lines, to make it look like a wooden fence.  I swiped a stamp pad down the card to give it more of a fence look.

To be honest, in spite of making cards being my passion, I am suffering from depression right now.  I get it every Winter and it's called "SADS".  Seasonal Affective Disorder.  It's because it's so cold and it gets dark so early.  For me, it starts in mid Autumn and will last until Spring when we go back on Daylight Saving.  I find I get fatigued very quickly during Winter, and I lose interest in things I enjoy doing. This is why I am struggling to make cards right now, in spite of having some awesome new products to play with!  I just don't have the interest or the energy to make anything, and when I do, it doesn't always come out right.  I really need to see my Doctor about it.  I have seen him before about this, and he put me on Vitamin D. Sadly it didn't work for me, so I think I need something stronger.  I actually take Vitamin D every day for one health, but it doesn't work on SADS.  ON top of that I have very poor blood circulation, so I REALLY feel the cold, which makes things worse.  So that's just an update on what's happening for me right now!

Two New Lavinia Stamps Christmas Cards!

I ad so much fun making the first of these cards, that I made two more! Once again I have used  some Suanne Cannon sentiment stamps.  These cards are so easy to make, not to mention lot's of fun!  Each card measure about 4x4 inches in size, so they are smaller than the usual size I make.  I've stamped on Neenah 80lb cardstock, then used some lighter card stock I get from the Blind Foundation for the card base.  Because I am amemer of the BF I get the card stock quite cheaply.  About $5 for 200 sheets.  They use it for the Braille machines, but I use it for card making!  By using this cardstock for the base card, I am not using my good quality Neenah cardstock.  Saving that for stamping on.
It's getting cold, so thank you for dropping by!  Have a SUNSHINE day! Remember to always be your authentic self, and shine bright each and every day!

"Tilly" From Lavinia Stamps.

Here's my first Christmas card for the year, using "Tilly" the mouse!  I used a star stencil for the stars, and a Suzanne Cannon rubber stamp for the sentiment.  Christmas for me is in the Summer, so that stamp was perfect! I masked off the edges of the card before I did the stars, just to frame the card. I used a black pen to draw the frame.  The stars are partially edged with a sparkly clear gel pen.  This was a quick and easy card to make, not to mention fun!  I think I will be making more of these for Christmas!  I used a stencil brush to do the stars, using three different colored inks.

Sundays Creations!

The card above is so sparkly in real life, I wish you could see it!  I made the circle using my 4 inch circle gel press.  The tree and other stamps are all Lavinia Stamps. The card below is also very sparkly and has lots of sparkly clear gel pen on it.  The Fairy is called "Eden". The mouse doesn't have a name and he is one of the Three Woodland Mice.
The card below is only a few inches in length and about 2 inches high.  Is stamped the image onto a card I had splattered with various coloured inks. And yes, it is sparkly like the other two cards!

These three photos are of my Tree Dahlia.  I have two plants of it and it grows upright like a tree.  There were loads of bee's on the flowers and I had to be careful not to get stung as I am allergic to bee stings.  Ending up in the Emergency Department at the hospital is NOT where I wanted to be!
The photo below shows on of the Tree Dahlia plants. This one is growing up my back fence. It's a lovely shade of pink and I think there is a white one too.  Both mine are pink. Like I said, the bee's love the flowers!

New Lavinia Stamps Cards!

The fairy on the card above, is called "Twilight", and the Shrew is called "Munch." I try to remember their names, but sometimes I have to check in the catalogue! I used some pale blue ink on a LS stencil on the background, just to add some depth.  The tree branch was stamped twice, and I also filled in with a tiny branch and some berries.  I lightly brushed the edges of the card with blue ink.  "Twilight" also has some sparkly glitter in her hair too.  Lots of fun to create!
.
The fairy on this card, above, is called "Raven", and she sits on a branch. Another fun LS fairy to create with!  She too has sparkly stuff on her.  It's a clear sparkly gel pen which looks awesome in the light, but not in photographs!

Just Asking A Question!

Since the beginning of March (around the 3rd) my left ear has been blocked. Every so often it oud unblock and I would be ok for a day or two.  I have seen 2 different Doctors and was told various things.  One said if it doesn't come right in two weeks she would send me to some place that does hearing aids.  I don't need a earing aid, my hearing (normally) is very keen.  I have had sinus issues for months as well.  My own Doctor said it sill heal in time.  Well it's been over two months now and I still cannot hear properly.  To say it is driving me crazy is an understatement!  It affects my balance, and makes me feel very nauseous at times.  I have tried everything I can think of, even asking Dr. Google.  If I hold both nostrils closed, and blow, air comes out of my eye.  As a further note, the Optometrist I saw last week said my tear duct in my right eye is blocked and showed me how to massage the duct to get it working again. Can ANYONE advise me on how to unblocked my ear??????  I am open to any suggestion because I am desperate!!  It is affecting my entire day because I can't go anywhere when my balance is not right, and I am struggling to do any art work as well.  I constantly run to the front door when a car backfires, thinking someone is knocking on the door! Yes it is funny, but honestly it is driving me crazy.  So, seriously, if anyone knows a remedy to unblock my ear I will be forever grateful to them!!

Lavinia Stamps Scene Card

I started with a white piece of card, 7 1/2 by 5 1/4 inches in size for the card below. I stamped the two trees using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, and masked off the moon shape using a circle cut from some acrylic offcuts.  Then I stamped the leaves and extra branches on the trees, making sure I left room in the center of the card for the little scene. I coloured in the moon using my water colour pencils, and added some yellow for the moonlight.  I also added some light shading of yellow showing through the trees.  Once I had stamped the Fairy Hives hanging in the trees, and the rest of the leaves, I added the little scene.  I used a soft brush to brush on some Distress Oxide Faded Jeans blue ink around the edges of the card, and added lot's of sparkly gel pen - the kind that you can't see on here!  It took me quite awhile to finish the card, and I am very happy how it turned out!
