A Weird but Fun Tip!

Above is a photo of my plastic scraper.  It measures just a smidgen over six inches wide, and is four and one quarter in height.  On the top I have stuck a piece of self adhesive Velcro - the soft fluffy bit, not the loop side.  Stick the Velcro as close as possible to the edge of the scraper as this means you get better ink coverage on the card.  Place the Velcro too far back and you will be holding the scraper at a funny (and possibly uncomfortable!) angle.
If you put some ink along the Velcro then drag it across a sheet of card, you can easily and quickly color the card!  I used red ink then gold ink over the top.  Before you use a new colour, just rinse the scraper and the in washes right off the Velcro.  So quick and easy to color card stock!  I will make a card front using the piece I did.  My local $2 Shop sells plastic scrapers almost identical to this one, three for $2!  So if you want to try this, go and check out your local Dollar Store and have some fun!

That's all for today - I think?!  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  Remember to always be your authentic self and shine bright each and every day!

A Busy Day!

As the heading says, I've had a busy time!  I made these over the weekend, most of them were done  yesterday.  I made the next three cards using some dies from a SU stamp/die set, called, "Frosted Gingerbread."  So much fun and you can use the stamps/dies in so many different ways.  The stamped words on the top card are from Lavinia Stamps.

Butterflies, Butterflies and more Butterflies!  I made them from a die that cuts and embosses at the same time. It's a Tim Holtz embosslits die.  Making the Butterfly cards was a bit quicker because I already had the Butterflies already cut out.

The stamped words on te card above are from Suzanne Canon.  She does such beautiful calligraphy and has it made into rubber stamps.  Such stunning quality.

Ok, that's all for now. I'm pooped out!  My brain is frazzled from all that card making!
I have some Snarky's on my desk, just waiting to be finished.  I am hoping to get them done sometime this week!

I Got A Bargain!

I found these two brand new unused Stampin' Up! stamp sets at my local Hospice shop for $5 each the other day!  I got a bargain for sure!  They were a little dusty but other than that they are great!
Above is the other set I found, which will be great for making masculine cards.  To be honest, I have very few masculine stamps and always struggle when I need to make a masculine card.  These will come in handy!
Above are the Fishy Friends stamped onto card. I always like to stamp new stamps to see what they look like once stamped.
Below is a card I made with the stamps.  I embossed some waves onto a scrap piece of card and attached it across the card. I have very lightly rushed some pale blue ink across the waves. I stamped and hand cut the fish and attached him using some double sided sponge tape.  I lastly added three white pearls to make it look like bubbles.
The fish is actually very shiny because I coloured him using a clear shiny gel pen.  It doesn't show upon here so you will have to imagine it!
Ok, thanks for dropping by!  Have a SUNSHINE day!  Remember to always be your authentic self and shine bright each and every day!

New Christmas Cards!

Here are some more Christmas card  have made last week.  The stamped words on the card above, are from Suzanne Canon.  She does such beautiful Calligraphy.
The butterfly card above is really sparkly. I took the photo in the shade and managed to capture the glitter on the card.  I die cut the Butterfly using an SU die, and I die cut the wings a second time with vellum underneath the wings.  The words are also from an SU stamp set.
The word "Blessed" on the card above is die cut from some SU card.  The stamped words are from some random stamp set.  I actually cut the words apart so I could use the words I wanted.  I do this quite often, and it means I have loads more options of stamping the words I want.
The word "Hello" is die cut from a Catherine Pooler die.

The Butterfly on the card above is die cut from and SU die.  I also cut the wings from Vellum and put them underneath to give the Butterfly some dimension.
I am just about out of Christmas cards now, having sold most of them in the last couple of weeks.
I also donated 28 to "Voices of Hope," who distribute the cards to older people who are alone at Christmas.  I wrote a shot message in each card and by the time I had done all 28, my hand was very sore!
So, I have been in lockdown for 82 days, with nothing open except for supermarkets, pharmacies and Vets.
Yesterday (finally!) the shops opened for the first time in 82 days, so I was able to go and stock up on craft things I needed.  As well as hitting some other shops.  It was so nice to be out and about and be doing normal things!  We still need to wear a face mask everywhere we go, but it is nice to have stores open again.  Everyone I met was so happy the shops were open and greeted you with a welcoming smile.  On top of that it was such a beautiful hot sunny day, which was nice.  Summer is coming...so is Christmas!
Ok, thanks for dropping by!  Have a SUNSHINE day, and remember to always be your authentic self and shine bright each and every day!
