Crash!

I was woken up at 2.30 am this morning, by the sounds of Police sirens...and then a very loud "crash".  The Police were in pursuit of a speeding car, which crashed into a parked car about 6 houses down from me.  Four young occupants, 17, 18, 19 and 25, were taken to hospital, 3 in a serious condition and one with minor injuries.  The Police chase had started only seconds before the car crashed.
Honestly, I am sick and tired of crashes on this road.  Yes I love taking the photo's, but it's time the council put speed bumps on this road.  It's steep, with long straights in parts, and cars speed up and down all the time.  With three schools on this road, plus two pre-schools, all close together, its time for speed bumps to be put in.
No cards yet, but I have two waiting to be photographed.
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} to you from ME:-)

Two More Christmas Cards!

I'm squeezing in two more Christmas cards before the weekend!  It's been so cold this week that I don't even want to get out of bed in the morning! We don't get snow here where I live, but boy, when it snows down South we certainly get the icy cold temperatures and wind up here.  Give me summer any day!
The card above is made with a shiny rose gold card.  I'm loving this stamp and die set, and really enjoy coming up with new ways to make cards with it!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day, and a 'crafty' weekend!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Monday's 'Night in Bethlehem' Cards.

Ok, so I have to admit I am a wee bit obsessed with this SU stamp set at the moment! I love SU stamps at the best of times, but I love them even more when they have matching dies like this set does!
I am not sure if I will add "something" around the white border on the above card or not.  I'm just not sure if I like it how it is. I didn't add anything to it because  wasn't sure what to add.  I'll have to think about it!
The card above is tamped in Night of Navy ink from SU.  I really like that colour!  You can tell by the amount of ink I have on my hands right now! The stamped words are from another SU stamp set.
Ok that's me for today!  Thanks for dropping by!  Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Having a Creative Sunday!

Here are two more cards I just made, using the same Stampin' Up! Night of Bethlehem stamps and die set.  So much fun and loving how easy  it is to create cards with not much stamping on!  Not that I don't love stamping, I do, but today I love die cutting instead! Oh! Look at the shadows those clear gems are making on both these cards!  That's because the sun came out when I tool the photo's.  Those gems are tiny clear round ones...not weird shaped ones like they appear on here!  The one below looks like some kind of weird space rocket!
I'm going to have to stop crafting now, my eyesight is really bad because of the cataract, and it is getting very hard for me to see properly.  It's so frustrating because they keep saying it isn't bad enough to fix.  Well it is to ME!  With limited vision to begin with, and a cataract on top of that, its not easy.  I have had to stop reading books, and can only just make out what's on TV.  I get migraines from eye strain, and crossing the road to get to the bus stop is challenging.  It's hard for me to tell if the cars are moving and which way they are going.
Anyway, I have had  fun day crafting!  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Christmas in July Plus More!

I made the card above using dies/stamps from the Stampin' Up! stamp set below.  I die cut in black and then white, and offset the black so the white card slightly shows behind the black.  Lot's of fun creating this card!

I saw a card on Dawns blog just like the one above and decided to make it.  Please check out Dawns blog, she has some great stuff there!  (Thank you Dawn)  The top star is actually silver, as is the small star.  It was lot's of fun to make, and I am working on some Christmas cards using the same design.
The note cards below were quick and easy to make.  I die cut the words and stuck them onto small black note cards.  I added some sequins and they were done!
Below is a rainbow I saw recently.  So pretty!

Pop! and Fizz! and Something Else!

Here's a card I made today.  I had trouble with the tiny fiddly bits because my hands are sore and it was hard to pick things up.  It took me some time to make the card, but I persevered and got it finished!  The colours are much brighter in real life.  In spite of the challenges I had making it, I had fun!

The card below was created on a thick piece of "grey card".  It's much thicker than my usual card.  I adhered torn pieces of paper napkin on the left and right diagonal corners.  To adhere the paper napkin I used some white acrylic paint.  I added some red paper and material flowers and some stamped words as well as a few sequins. I drew a thin black line around the border of the card once it was finished.  This card was a 'experiment'.  I'd seen something similar o you tube and wanted to try it.  I'm happy how it turned out!  The card has lot's of texture, which I like.
