Just Dabbling!

This is a little note card I made this morning.  In the photo above, it looks PINK!  In reality it is WHITE!  Like the photo below, which is the inside of the card.  The cat stamp is from a little set I just got off AliExpress.  I got the matching dies as well. so cute and fun!
The temperatures are going up the more we  get into Summer, and although I WANT to craft, I am struggling because it is so hot/humid.  Believe me, I am NOT complaining about the heat.  I can tolerate the heat (I actually thrive in the heat and humidity) but I don't do well in the cold.  Anyway, thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

She Did This To Me and Almost Got Away With It.

I was re-interviewed by the Police yesterday, about the accident I was in on Boxing Day last year.  The Police came here to me and the interview lasted about 1 3/4 hours.  As well as re-counting the accident, where it happened, what time, who was involved etc etc, the Police took a Victims Impact Statement from me. The outcome is, the lady who hit me and run me over WILL be charged after all! As far as I know is being charged with careless use of a mobility scooter and injuring someone.  She will have to pay my medical bills.  As far as being compensated to for the trauma and disruption to my life goes, I have to wait and see.  There were a couple of 'mistakes' made by the Police in the beginning.  The first one is, the Police Officer in attendance of the accident, did not write a report about it, which he should have done. So there was no record of the accident. So basically that means, the Police knew nothing of the accident when I was interviewed the first time which was three days after the accident.  The second 'mistake' was, my statement was not immediately forwarded to the right person within the Police Department.  It sat in the computer but went nowhere.   So, still, no-one in the Police Department knew of the accident. Just as well I did not give up.
It was, with the help of Victim  Support that got things moving again.  I knew the name of the Police who had interviewed me the first time, but not his surname, so the lady from Victim Support (Thank you Tracey Williams!) had a bit of a job tracking him down.  But she did!  It was after this the Police told me there was nothing they could charge LB (the lady who hit me) with.  The Police then asked if I wold send them copies of the photos I had taken of my injuries.  I did this and less than a week later I was re-interviewed and told she (LB) WILL be charged!  WOOHOO!  Justice, was a sweet word!
It's taken a toll on me, with already having M.E. it has just drained me of energy and left me feeling flat.  I feel like I need to sleep for a week!  I will know more early net week.  The Police are going to see the lady who run me over on Sunday to give her a summons to go to court an to tell her she is being charged.  From there they will contact me to let me know what is happening.
For the last four days, I have been having issues with my feet.  I have bruised ankles from the accident, and now I have pain in my whole foot.  Both feet.   I really need to go back and see my GP and find out what is going on.  The Emergency Clinic I was taken to the day of the accident did not do any x-rays, I think they should have.  Now I will have to pay to have x-rays done.  Another expense I don't need:-(  A waste of good money that could be spent on CRAFT things!  Do you ever wish you could turn back time?!  I do!
Ok, I have to go and have breakfast now!  Thank you for your patience and understanding that I need to get this off my chest so I can move forward with my life:-)
Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

She Does This To Me and Gets Away With It.

I am speechless, which, for those who know me, know that isn't me.  i have just heard back from the Police, and this woman who caused these injuries, is going to walk away without being charged with ANYTHING!!!

Apparently her eyesight is very poor and it won;t be long before she will not be allowed to ride her mobility scooter.  Bring it on!  Bring that day forward in a hurry.  She should not be out and about on her scooter if she can't see well enough to NOT run people over.

I myself have a sight impairment, but I have never done this to anyone, or even come close to it.  I have ad my eyesight issues for 60 years, I have successfully ridden horses for many years, roller and ice skated, ridden skateboards and scooters, and I have NEVER had an accident. The Police have advised me to lodge a complaint at the shopping mall where this woman hangs out, and to show them the photo's of my injuries, caused by her.
That's my goal for today, to go to the mall security and let them know what's happened.  She also almost run me over again last week!  I was about to leave the bathroom at the mall, and for some reason when I got to the exit, I stopped.  At that same second, 'she' (the woman who run me over) whizzed past at speed.  The bathroom exit comes into a narrow hallway.  Had I not stopped (female intuition?) I would have been hit for a second time.  "She" never even saw me as she was looking the other way for some reason.

Above is my thigh injury as of two days ago.  It is healing, but it is still quite painful.  Thank you for your patience with me and reading my rants!  Thanks for dropping by!
Have a SUNSHINE day...stay safe!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Folded Card

I saw a video of how this card was made.  She called it a "W" card, but I don't think that is the proper name.  I didn't write down any measurements, because I HATE measuring cards, I get it all wrong:-(  I just watched how she made the card and then made this one.  I like how it came out!

It wasn't hard to make, which surprised me because I thought it looked challenging.  I left a white panel on the back of the card to write a message on.
Below are a couple of photo's of "Romeo-Valentino".  When it gets hot, which it is right now because we are into Summer, he lies on his back on the kitchen floor.  He stays there for ages!

Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Note Cards

I just made these note cards using some scraps of paper and card.  They measure just over 3 3/4 by 2 1/4 inch. I am not sure what I will use them yet.
Further to my post before this, I am still not receiving notifications that someone has left a comment on my blog:-(  It worked for ten minutes and now it's back to me not getting the notifications.  Andrea emailed me and said she had just left me a comment, but I have no notification from blogger that a comment is ready for modification:-(  I have checked and re-checked my settings and by MY account, I should be getting notified by email.  I am SOOOOO frustrated as nothing I do seem t fix the problem.  PLEASE, if you leave me a comment and I don't acknowledge or publish it within a few days, please email me to let me know.  I WILL get to the bottom of this!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

A Huge Apology and a Huge Thank You to YOU!

OMG, I am SO sorry to all my readers, I have just discovered I had 49 comments that needed publishing.  I had no notification that they were even there.  I have no idea why, as far as I know I have not changed any settings on my blog.  I have just published them all now. I have to go into the settings again and make sure my email address is there - it should be - and check everything is ok.  Thank you for your comments and especially the ones regarding my recent accident/injuries.  I am recovering slowly and can now walk a lot better.  My left ankle is still quite swollen and sore, but it's getting better each day.  I am still having my thigh injury cleaned and dressed every three days, but it is slowly healing:-)  Just waiting to hear from the Police as to what the lady who hit me will be charged with.
Ok, that's all for now.  Thank you all SO much for your comments:-)
Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Christmas Top Hat

I made this little top hat this morning.  It is about 3 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches across.
I decorated it with various bits of Christmas decorations.  I glued each white pom-pom on the hat using some fabric glue.
And this (below) is the yoghurt container I made the top hat from!  I turned it upside down so the top of the yoghurt container was the brim of the hat.  Next time I will make the top hat with the top of the yoghurt container at the top of the hat.  This way I can put a sinker in the container to give it some weight so it is more stable.
This was fun to make and I think I might make some more in time for next Christmas!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Art Impressions Water Colour Stamping

These are two more AI Water Colour Stamped cards I made.  I am slowly finding my way with these stamps, and I have watched some great videos on you tube about how it's done.  Lots of fun!  Lot's to learn:-)  Life is like that!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Cards, Water Coloured Cats, and Calendars!

I am still in pain from being run over, and the ACC nurse is still coming twice a week to clean and dress my thigh injury.  It is healing slowly, but is still oozing blood.
The card above was a late Christmas one I had made but never got around to posting it.  It's quite sparkly IRL!  The photo below shows some of the sparkle.
The next two photos are of my very first attempt at using the Art Impressions Water Colour stamps.  I am happy with how they turned out:-)  I just need some grey/charcoal coloured pens, but am unable to get to the art shop at the moment because of my injuries and not being able to walk far because of the pain in my ankles.

Below is a calendar I made recently.  A friend had given me a set of different coloured cards, and I cut them in half and had enough pieces to make two 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 inch calendars.  It is really nice glossy card and I had loads of fun making these calendars!  Sitting down isn't quite so painful as it was, so I was able to get crafting again:-)  This first photo below shows the calendar in a plastic frame I had.  I will place each month in the frame as the months change.
I used some calendar tabs I had bought last year.  The big daisies are from a new set of dies.

The next lot of photos are the second calendar I made using the second half of the note cards I cut in half.  (They were blank inside and perfect for making calendars!)
For this second calendar I used some stitched flower dies.  I also die cut the coloured card under the calendar tabs, using some stitched oblong dies I have.  Both these calendars were so much fun to make:-)

Thank you for dropping by!  Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)
