New Cards and A Question!

I made these cards using some Quietfire Design stamps.  I just love Suzannes calligraphy!  I used a cotton ball with a white stamp pad to get a soft snowy effect on the top card.  I also splattered on some white acrylic paint to create some snow falling.
These two cards are not finished as they need putting onto a base card.  Haven't decided quite what to use as a base card yet, the jury is still out!
Ok, so now for my question.  I recently gave someone a set of greeting cards I had made.  I have known this person for a very long time.  Sadly there was no word of 'thanks', or anything.  I was/am hurt at their lack of appreciation.  How do you deal with this?  Has anyone else had this experience?  We were sitting next to one anther when I gave them the cards- it was a Birthday gift. It's left a bitter taste in my mouth and has put me off giving anyone else my cards as a gift.  I would love your input!
Thanks for dropping by!  Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

The Beauty In Finding Something You Thought You Had Lost.

Late yesterday afternoon I discovered these in one of my pot plants.  They are miniature Daffodils.  I had planted them abut three years ago, but this is the first time they have flowered. I have a feeling I may have planted the bulbs a bit too deep, which is why it has taken so long for them to flower.  And something has eaten the flowers (there were two yesterday!)over night😕  But the flowers are so cute and colourful!  Once they have died down I will carefully dig the bulbs up and re-plant them, not so deep this time.  It was such a nice surprise to find these yesterday - dam those bugs that have eaten the flowers😕
I have a bad sinus infection at the moment and I'm not feeling the best.  No new cards today, just flowers!

More Christmas Cards!

These two cards were very quick and simple to make.  After die cutting the stars I stuck them together and then adhered them to the white card.  The top card has a shiny gold star in the front of the green star, and the cad below has a shiny silver star behind the red star. I added some gold sequins to the top card and some silver enamel dots to the bottom card. I made two small bows and attached them to the card using some glue dots.  After stamping the words the cards were finished!

Just A Question About Pinterest.

I get emails from Pinterest daily, with photos of things I am interested in. Until recently I have been able to click on one of the photos (in the email) and it will take me to that photo on Pinterest. Well I can't do that anymore. Nothing happens when I click on the photo.  A tiny 'anchor' appears on the top left hand side of the photo I have clicked on, but that's all that happens. I have searched Pinterest for answers but can't find anything.  Does anyone have any ideas of what's going on, and how I can fix it so that when I click on the photo I like, it takes me to that photo on Pinterest???  Many thanks in advance for any help!!

"Reason For The Season" Plus.

I made these two cards using Stampin' Up!  "Reason for the Season" stamp set.
Below is a photo of the stamp set.
The card below is a quick one I made using a Quietfire Design stamp.
Well, New Zealand was free of Covid 19 for 102 days.  The only people that had the virus were about 23 who had come back from overseas, and were in managed isolation, not out in the community.
Then two days ago things changed. It was found that a family of four in South Auckland had the virus.
Now Auckland (the city I live in) has been put into a temporary three day lock down, while they try to find out how and where this family got the virus from.
Although I am in isolation, this time I am allowed out to do my own shopping. I have to wear a mask, which is fine by me.  This morning I walked to my local supermarket and pharmacy to get a few things.  I walked home as well.  The weather today is not at all like Winter!  It is warm and sunny and just gorjuss!  I know we only have another 2 1/2 weeks of 'official' Winter, but this weather today is more like Summer!
Anyhow, I am hoping that lock down this time is only very a few days, and we can get our lives back on track again.  As it was the first time in lock down, only essential businesses are allowed to stay open.
The traffic on my road has dropped and it is SO peaceful!  I am really enjoying it being so quiet.

Night In Bethlehem Christmas Cards!

The first card has some clear sparkly embossing on the front row of buildings.  It's done on black card and the embossing kind of changes colour in the light.  I don't know what colour it is as the label has come off.  It looks much better in reality!
The card above has shiny gold card buildings and it is very hard to get a decent photo of it.  I'm still having fun with this stamp/die set!
This photo above is of a pigeon that was sitting on my front terrace.  When I first saw him, from a distance, I thought it was a baby bird that had fallen out of the nest.  He had his feathers all fluffed up and was not moving very much. It was a really windy day and I thought maybe he had been blown out of the nest.  However, on closer inspection, I discovered he was not a baby bird, but was a pigeon just having a rest!  He allowed me to get very close to him and didn't move when I took several photos of him.
One of my cats Bella, was sitting less than 3 feet away from him, and he was not at all concerned!  Neither was Bella worried about him!
Here's the same pigeon, below.  The pigeon only flew off when I came inside and closed the door.  Guess he just needed to have a rest!
