A Helping Hand

Yes, I am BACK stamping again! And I have my reading glasses, so I can SEE what I am doing now! Yippee!
I made this card to give to the St. John Ambulance guys, just to say thank you for the care they gave me when they rushed me to hospital recently. We need MORE people like them for sure.
I have had this stamp for quite awhile but this is the first time I have used it! I used my Swiss Dots eb folder for the back ground. I used my mega rectangle nesties for the long scallop card & a plain nestie for the black card behind it. I added two paper flowers with stick on pearls in the centre.
On the inside of the card I stamped Thank You (Hooks Lines & Inkers) in black, on a white circle nestie & then a scallop black nestie behind it. I will hand deliver this card to them, plus a towel they left behind! THANK YOU to the St. John Ambulance people, you rock!

Strawberry Delight

Oh yumm, this card makes my mouth water! I want to EAT it!
I made the entire card using cuttlebug dies & an embossing folder. I cut out the scallop circles in 2 different shades of pink (my fave colour!) & used my Argly eb folder for the cone. I cut the coneout by hand. The ice cream drips are actually leaves from a Bosscut flower die! The cherry is from a Hero Arts cupcake stamp set. A really fun & easy card to make & would make fun invitations for kids parties! I added dome crystal kindy glitz to the scoops of ice cream & the cherry. The "Yum!" is also from the HA Cupcake stamp set.
Ok, I've been really good...can I eat this now?!

Lavender Dreams

I made this little lavender sachet holder by using my scor pal. The half circle was made using a circle punch. The sachet on the left is what is inside the holder. I found the sachets in the sale bin at my local Pharmacy. I used my lavender stamp from Kiwi Impressionz. The stamp is called "Lavendaze" & is almost a perfect match to the picture on the sachet! This was easy & quick to make. I am so glad I have my scorpal otherwise I doubt that I would have taken the time to make this. The scor pal makes it SO quick & easy! Well, thanks for visiting, drop by again soon!

Hearts For You

Yay, at last I, am BACK & ready to stamp! Feeling better day by day, & the other good news is...I have my reading glasses back so I can SEE what I am doing now!
I made this card using my CB embossing folders, Birds & Swirls & Swiss Dots. I cute heart shapes with my nesties. I added some kindy glitz I some silver & white ribbon, two star brads & the card was DONE! Very simple but nice! (I like that style!)
Thanks for visiting & a BIG thank you to those of you who left me get well wishes, I know they helped!

Wind Flowers

Well here I am, back blogging after being not too well in hospital. I am still not well, but well enough (for now !) to post these cards that I made before I was rushed to hospital. It's a bit of an effort because my head is still full of cotton wool...or something equally soft & fuzzy!
I made this card for a special friend, Annie, who lives in Western Australia. We've known each other forever, but have not (yet!) met in person! One day, Annie!
I used my Birds & Swirls folder on the pink card & my Friends Forever folder on the white card. I just love that folder & the dies that match! The Kindred Spirit words are from that set. I used my oval nesties for the ovals & added 2 small blue flower brads.
Thanks to everyone for checking my blog even though I wasn't there for awhile, I really appreciate your visits! I may be a bit slow in posting in the next couple of weeks, but I AM back!!
Have a great Monday & enjoy the rest of the week!

Flowery Wishes

This was the first one of these cards I made, & liked it so much I just carried on making them! Hey, I was on a roll! The flowers are from a cuttlebug die & I embossed the card (pink) first, using my swiss dots folder. I stamped the leaves on one side of the card & embossed with my Hearts folder on the other side. I then layered it onto the pink card. Easy & quick cards to make :-)

More Flowers...

As you can see, (scroll down) I really like the design of this card & ended up making several in different colours! I used my Hearts embossing folder for the embossed bit.

Hearts & Flowers

Same card design, different coloured card & stick on pearls. Simple cards to make :-)

Hearts For You

I used different paper flowers on this card, but the same embossing folder as the others.

Where's The Colour Gone?!

Ooops, this ice block is LIME GREEN & chocolate...what happened?! The bright colours just don't scan well:-(
Anyway, it is a very easy card to make, I used my scallop nesties for the 'bite' bit.

Sunday Blues

A 'funny' kind of day today - I'm still not well enough to post anything (or stamp) - but it was 26 years ago today that my dad died suddenly. He was only 56 & way too young to die.
I came to the conclusion that a girl needs her dad no matter how old she is... thanks for being there, dad.

An Update

Just letting everyone know that I won't be posting anything for awhile as I have been very ill & in hospital for a week. :-( I am still very unwell & won't be doing anything for awhile. Not sure how long it will be.
Thanks to everyone for visiting & I hope you come back again when there's some new stuff!
Have a great week :-)

"Absolute Chaos"

This gorgeous horse stamp is from River City Rubber Works & "Absolute Chaos" is her name! (Abby for short) I coloured her using my water colour crayons. I can't do much stamping at the moment because I still don't have my reading glasses from the optician. I hope they hurry up because it is so frustrating not to be able to SEE things! I used my cb embossing folder Spots & Dots for the rust coloured card & added paper flowers & flower brads to finish the card. "Abby's" mane & tail have a tiny bit of kindy glitz on - she needed a bit of "bling"!!

"Elmo"

I can't take credit for this card idea, because I saw it somewhere on SCS - but isn't he cute!!
I can't remember whose card it was, so if you are reading this & recognise it, leave me your name so I can give you credit!
I love Elmo...:-)
I won't be doing much for the next week as my reading classes are in being fixed, so I can't see anything close up too well :-( Oh well..I'll be back when I can! Thanks for visiting:-) Gee I nearly forgot...I used my circle nesties for this card, except for Elmo's nose, I cut that out by hand. I do have a punch the same shape but it's too small! Ok, that's it for me this weekend! Can't wait to get my glasses back!
