Envelope Tea Bag Holder

I have just made this oh-so-cute and easy tea bag holder, using my envelope punch board!  Go to You Tube and type in Envelope Punch Board Tea Bag & Honey Stick Holder, to find Lisa's video on how to make it.  Sorry I wasn't able to copy and paste it for some weird reason.  The photo above shows the front of the holder, while the bottom photo shows the back.  This honestly took only minutes to make and was so much fun!  Thank you to Lisa for the video!  I don't know that we have honey sticks here, so I had to leave those out.

Well that's all for now, once it is SO hot and humid that my brain is fried.  I think that is a permanent thing at the moment!

"The Door."

I stamped the "Quietfire" stamp (above) onto a small white artist board.  It was a gift for a friend.  I first painted the background with some inks, and after I stamped the saying I sprayed it with hairspray to set it, and lastly added some tiny gold stars.

"A Nice Cuppa."

I made this card using Stampin' Up! stamp set called , "A Nice Cuppa", and matching die set "Cups and Kettle" Framelits dies.  I had lot's of fun making this card!
It's way too hot to stamp, but I keep trying!  Right now I am sitting in front of a fan trying to keep cool.  It's not easy!

Masculine Card and Interesting Cloud Formations

I recently needed to make a masculine card.
Panic set in because I don't really make many masculine cards, and don't have many masculine stamps!  Anyway, after a couple of days wondering what to do, I came up with this card.  I know the recipient isn't into horses, so I have my fingers crossed that the card is a hit!
I very lightly brushed some Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink onto the hat and boots to give them a scuffed look.  I love that Hero Arts ink, it's nice and thick and always works well when I use it.
Below are some interesting cloud formations I took just before dusk.  The photo below was what I saw when I looked directly in front of me.
The photo below is what the clouds looked like when I turned to my right.  It reminds me of giant ribs!
Below is another interesting cloud formation.  These were taken at dusk, and faded very quickly, as clouds do at that time of night.
It was like someone had taken a giant paint brush, dipped it in some peach coloured ink  and  swooshed it across the sky!
As quickly as the clouds formed, they disappeared just as quickly.
I am not doing a lot  of crafting right now as it is so hot and humid.  The heat is intense 24/7 and it just takes all my energy.  It;s hard to sleep at night because of the heat, and no wind.  We desperately need rain, as it has been over 43 days since we had any decent rain.  That's a record for Auckland, we have never had it so dry.  The grass is brown, the farms are all desperate for water, but none is predicted until March.

Two More Christmas Cards!

Here are two more Christmas cards I made yesterday.  I saw something on Pinterest that inspired me to make these.  The card I saw was nothing even like these, but somehow I was inspired to make these two!
I have used Stampin' Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas stamps and matching punch.  These were so much fun to make!  It helped that I already had the Teddy and Gingerbread men already stamped and punched out!

Disgusting Behaviour - In My Home

This post has nothing to do with crafting.
For many years I have needed home help, as there are certain things I am not physically able to do for various reasons.  I have been with a particular agency for many years.  I will not name names here.
So I have had one carer for about 6-7 months.  One of the rules from the agency is, the carer is not to use the clients (me) toilet under any circumstances.  They have time between clients to do this elsewhere.  Another rule is, the carer must wear clean rubber gloves for each client.  These are provided by the agency.
So my carer came last week, as usual.  While she was here, she used my toilet without my permission, with her gloves on, then proceeded to clean my home with the same gloves on!!! YUCK!! She did not know, at the time, that I knew she had done this.  I felt sick and was disgusted at her behaviour.
I'd had my suspicions that she was doing this for some time, last week she proved I was right.
Once she had left, I did two things.  I went round the entire house and disinfected EVERYTHING she touched, or everything I thought she may have touched.  Then I informed the agency of what she had done.  They were shocked and horrified.
They spoke to her about it and apparently she was not very happy at all that she had been caught.
Consequently she will no longer be my carer.
I have multiple serious health issues and have a very weak immune system. I spent the first 6 days of 2020 very ill and in hospital.  I had multiple test, x-rays etc, and nothing showed up as abnormal.  I had a high temperature of 39 degrees, which took  four days to get control of and get it to stay down.  I was not well at all.  I was also vomiting every five minutes.  That also took some time to get under control.  The usual anti-emetics don't work very well for me so they had to find something stronger. I had a five day IV course of Antibiotics.  They asked me many questions, such as had I been around someone who was unwell. They asked about my home care lady.  I told them, as far as I knew, she was and had been, well.
They were mystified as to why and how I had become so unwell.  None of the tests showed anything unusual.  I had multiple blood test, and keep in mind, my veins are shot and are very very hard to get blood from.  So I had a lot of needles.
I now question if I was unwell because of my home care lady's lack of hygiene?  Anything is possible.  Even once I was out of hospital, I was still not well for about 3 weeks.  It wasn't fun and it certainly wasn't nice.  It wasn't a picnic.
The only good thing was, I met a lovely lady who was my room mate.  We had our own room and it was great.  WE got along really well.
Anyway, that's my post for today, maybe some artwork later!  I just wanted to get this off my chest.
To those that stayed long enough to read this, thank you!  Have  SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to you:-)

From Plain To This!

These two photo's are of a white summer top I have.  Note the buttons on the top. Plain white pearl buttons.  Nothing fancy.

Here is the same white top, but with new CAT buttons, that Lorraine popped in her Christmas card she sent me!  Aren't they awesome!!  I like them way better than the original buttons!
Below is a closeup of the buttons, SO cute and SO me!!  I cut the original buttons off the top, stitched some domes in place of the original buttons, then stitched the cat buttons on.  So the top now does up using the domes, which are underneath and out of sight.  Please click on Lorraines name, and check out her blog.  She does some awesome craft work!  Thank you for the great buttons Lorraine!
