"Owl Be Seeing You!"

.
I started making these bookmarks yesterday afternoon.  I finished them today!
First of all I die cut the actual bookmark in various colours.
Then I punched out all the scallop circles.  Each bookmark has two scallop circles held together using sponge tape to give it some   .
Then I punched out all the owls in various colours.  I didn't overthink what colours to use because I get too obsessed with matching the colours, and it takes "time!"  I mostly used scrap card.
Next I punched out the dresses for each owl using scrap paper.
I punched put the leaves using my SU Bird punch.  Next came the tiny heart on each Owl.  That is from the Owl punch.
I did the bookmarks in batches because I find it easier to do a batch of cards etc rather than one at a time.  Especially when I am making lots of the same thing.
I stamped a small sentiment on the lower part of each bookmark using my Tim Holtz stamp platform.  Oh boy, the platform makes my life a whole lot easier and makes ME a whole lot happier than if I had to stamp each sentiment and hoping I got it straight and inked well the first time!!  I don't know how I managed before I had the platform!  The amount of times I stamped something and it wasn't inked enough...and of course, trying to re-stamp it by hand did not work at all!  So thank you Tim Holtz, you made my (crafting) life so much easier!
I was going to stamp a Christmas sentiment on some of these but found this one instead, and it fits perfectly and is suitable for all occasions! (I hope!)
Below are all the (25) bookmarks packed into cellophane bags, ready to be sold, and added to peoples Christmas cards!
My hands are very sore, mostly my thumbs, but it was so worth it!  I 'heart' to stamp/craft!!
Have an awesome weekend and thanks for dropping by! have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Searching For This Stamp!

I am looking for this stamp (Penny Black I think).  I had one several years ago and think someone borrowed it and I never got it back.  And I don;t remember who borrowed it.  I have a feeling it was someone at a class I was doing.  If you have one (wood mount or clear mount) and you would be willing to sell it to me, please post a comment or email me.  Thanks so much!
I think his name is "Snowy", but I am not 100% sure.  Thanks!
Have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Out Of Control Trailer = Crash!

Around 4.34 pm yesterday I was sitting at the table when I heard this loud bang bang bang from outside.  As I jumped up from my chair and looked out the window, I saw a trailer speeding down the road - no car - and it was zig-zagging across the road and bouncing off the kerb.  Cars coming up the road were swerving crazily to avoid being hit by the trailer, and then I heard "CRASH".
I grabbed my camera and was just hoping that no-one was injured.  This is a busy road at that time of day.
I live at the bottom of a really steep hill, which is why the trailer was going at speed.
About five houses down from me I could see the trailer had hit the back of a parked car.
Amazingly enough, the rogue trailer had missed all the other cars on the road, but had hit the back of the (above and below) black car.
The trailer had somehow become un-attached from a van coming down the hill.
The driver of the van is the guy in the fluro top.  The other two are the owners of the black car that was hit.  This is the second accident I have photographed on this road, where a trailer has come loose and crashed into something.
I still can't get the image of the trailer zig-zagging wildy down the road and bouncing from kerb to kerb.  In one sense it looked absolutely hilarious.  On the other hand it was quite serious because if it had hit a car outside my place, it would have done a lot more damage.  By the time it got further down the road and onto the flat, it had lost it's speed.  Thank heavens for that!

Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Wreath Builder Template.

The photo above is a home made wreath builder template I made last night!  I saw on Andreas blog how she had made some gorjuss cards using the template, and wanted to try it myself.  I got on you tube and found heaps of videos showing how to use it and how to make one.  So that's what I did!
The photos above and below show what I stamped using the Wreath Builder Template.  This was my very first attempt, and I am very happy how it came out!  To learn how to use the WBT, have a look at some videos on you tube.  So much fun!
Well it's raining here at the moment, so it's a good time to stay inside and get crafting!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day! {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Bookmarks, Tags and a Card.

I haven't posted anything for some time because I haven;t been very well.  I've been in hospital twice in the last 14 days because of an infection.  My immune system doesn't work very well and if I get an infection I end up in hospital.  Anyway I have done a little bit of crafting, and here it is!
The tags above were made using SU card, and the trees were die cut from an SU die.

The tags above and below were made using a (retired) SU die, called Two tags.  It is a die I have always liked, but back when it first came out, I had a Cuttlebug machine, so getting the Bigz dies through the CB was not easy.  In fact, I actually cracked my old CB doing this!  Ooops!  The bottom photos shows the green tag open.  I stuck some white card on it so you can write a message on it.

Below is the first bookmark I made using the Two Tags die, so cute!  There is some sparkly glitter o the mouse and the Unicorn horn, but it's hard to see on here.
Below is a Christmas card I made.  I don't like the stars I out on there:-(  All was going to plan until I stuck those on!  I might cover them up with other stars, or something.  Not sure yet.
Okay, that's all from me for now.  I am still recovering from being in hospital the other day, and very tired and need lot's of rest, so I am not doing much crafting just yet.  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Raccoons, Foxes, Deer, Possums, Geese and Other Wild Critters.

If you enjoy watching wildlife such as Raccoons, Deer, Foxes, Geese, etc, then pop over to this you tube site https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFCBLU_yftc
Carolina Critters Cam, Chris and Jane (Wonder Woman!)  feed the wild life several times during the day and night, and you can watch 24/7.  The Racoons have just been fed hard boiled eggs! They love them! Every Saturday (USA time) night they treat them with something different.  Watching these wild critters so close up is just amazing.  Hope you go and have a look!
Thanks for dropping by, have a Sunshine day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

"Jar of Dreams", and Cards!

The photo above is a "Jar of Dreams" I made recently.  I was inspired by a Woodware clear stamp set I have called "Jar of Dreams".  I forgot to photograph the stamp set:-(  The next  photos show how I made the JOD.  I had already bought the jars some time ago from the local Hospice Shop for 20 cents each.  At the time I had no idea what I would make or use them for, I just knew I would  come up some fantastic idea!  And I did!  I already have people wanting to buy them!

The stamped words are from the Woodware stamp set.  It comes with two sayings.
Below are some Christmas cards I have been making.  I've had a horrible cold for over three weeks and because my immune system is not good, it has taken me a long time to recover.  The cold went to my chest and made my asthma worse, so I was having to use my inhaler several times a day as well as at night.
All these reindeer cards were made using SU card stock. The banner looks yellow, but I can assure it is shiny gold in real life!

The next 5 cards I made a week or so back.  The top part of the cards have been embossed on an angle so I could stamp on the plain piece.  I used an SU tree shaped punch for the trees.  Really easy cards to make:-)

The last card was one I made a couple of weeks ago, this too was an easy card to make.
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} to you from ME:-)
