Meet The "Twinklets"!

The card above is on of the "Nippy Twinkles" I made recently, and I have added some tiny hearts to his face.  I did this on all of the cards I made like this.  I just felt they needed "something" extra to bring them more to life!
Below are the  "Twinklets"... BABY "Nippy Twinkles"! πŸ‘Ά   I made the faces smaller and put three of them on the one card.  I have bought some more of the "Candi's" (the sequin looking things.) and am hoping they arrive today!  I love πŸ’– using those on my cards!

Thanks for dropping by! 😊 Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS{ from me to YOU:-) πŸ’œ

"Nippy Twinkles" and "Romeo-Valentino!"

"Who is Nippy Twinkles" I hear you ask?!!  He is my snowman on my Christmas cards!  Yep,  I gave him a name!  Anyhow, I made another four snowmen cards today, and this time I did them on a production line.  I made four cards. Above  is how they started.  Below is the next step, putting faces on them.
The next step (below) was making the hats an adding the star on the hat, and the snowflake on "Nippy's" scarf!  "Snow" much fun 😊!!
And here (below) is how I made his hat.  I used two SU punches.  I punched the tag, then rounded the corners of one end with my corner rounder, then punched out the long slot piece (not sure what that punch is called)...

And glued it to the cut away edge of the tag and hey presto I have a hat for "Nippy Twinkles"!  Sooooo easy and quick! I did each step on all the four cards at the same time.
Below is the finished card, with the "Merry Christmas" (SU stamps set) tag.  Each snowman has a different coloured "Candi" on his snowflake.
Some of the stars on his hat are different colours too.

Some of the cards look as if they are cut crooked, they aren't, it's just the way I have them propped up to photograph them.  The card I used is a really nice iridescent tan colour, and it's a firmer card than I usually use.  I got it cheap from "Gordon Harris Art Supplies" in Newmarket one day.  I just liked the colour and it is something different to what I normally use.
Okay, so there are all my latest "Nippy Twinkles" I made today! 😊 I am doing well in getting my Christmas cards done early this year!  I thank Andrea  😊for the inspiration for this, she is making her 2018 Christmas cards and it got me inspired to start mine.  It's such a stressful time in the month leading up to Christmas, that I wanted to get a head start this year!  Please jump over to Andreas blog, I know you will enjoy her crafting as much as I do!  Thank you Andrea! πŸ’™
Here below is "Romeo-Valentino" lying on my art desk.  He's knocked down some plastic Easter Eggs from my "Peter Rabbit" display, and they just happened to roll right by his bum!  NO he didn't lay Easter Eggs!  The green egg slowly rolled towards the edge of the desk...

...And he was not too happy about it so he kicked his other back leg and made ALL the eggs roll round!  A video would have been hilarious as he kicked all the eggs, and he went one way and the eggs went on the floor!  Needless to say, I cracked up laughing!  It was so funny to see the look on his face when the eggs rolled everywhere!  I think he's had enough of Easter for one year!
What do you call a group of snowmen???  Well, if they were here in Titirangi right now, I wold call them "Puddles", or "Slushy," because it has been so hot they would have all melted!  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-) πŸ’œ

Two Cards and Some Stress!!

I made the mini treat bag using a die set from SU.  I used double sided paper, so the inside is also patterned.  I used an old SU stamp set to stamp the cup, and the words.  Below is the card I made to go inside the mini treat bag.  "What's Brewin'?" is  out of focus because I focused on the flowers, not the words.  These words are also from SU.  I stamped the flowers (Crafters Companion") and carefully cut around the top part of them.
Nothing too hard here! 😊
This card (below) is the card that gave me "stress"!!  First of all I had slightly cut the brown card crooked, but didn't realize until I had stuck the snow mans face and scarf on to it!  Panic!  I couldn't un-stick the face without tearing it πŸ˜•  Okay, so I started again, on a piece of brown card that was STRAIGHT, and made a new snowman face.  Got it all finished and then 'remembered' I was going to emboss it to look like snow!!  Seriously Sunshine?!*  Give up NOW!  Too late, the card was done!  If I make another one I will try to remember to emboss it BEFORE I stick anything to the card!  Deep *sigh*.  Stress, huh?!  Can't live without it 😊
Anyhow, I am happy with how the card turned out, and I achieved my goal for today, which was to make at least one Christmas card!  Done!  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE  DAY!  {HUGS} from me to YOU 😊

Flower Card, Sunrise, and "Romeo-Valentino"!

The flowers on this card are "Delicate Asters", from a "Heartfelt Creations" die set.  The word stamp is from an un-mounted Crafters Companion stamp set.  Below is a closeup of the flowers and word stamp.  I like the style of writing on the words.
And here's "Romeo-Valentino" trying his best to get into the basket that I had "Mr. and Mrs" Rabbit sitting in the other day!  There was no way he was going to fit his butt in that basket!
So I took the yellow fluffy stuffing out of the basket, and put it on the table, and he decided that would be nice to sleep on, surrounded by plastic Easter eggs!
Below is a gorjuss sunrise I captured early one morning.  The sky was a gorjuss pinky orange colour, which made everything look the same pinky orange colour!

Card and Ear Rings

I was inspired to make the card above, after seeing the earrings, below.  I loved all the bright colours of the jewelry at the Pasifika Festival yesterday.  I had half made the card yesterday, and finished it today.

The pink and black earrings above were $15, which I thought was a bit too expensive.  As well as that, I am sure I can make some myself!  Watch out for them in a future post!
The earrings below are about 2 inches in length and are very light.  The colour changes slightly in the light.  They are more transparent in bright sunlight.  As you can see, they are engraved on the front.  These ones, and the ones in the next photo, were $5 a pair, more my price!
I loved the colours of the ear rings, and it was hard to choose which colours and styles I liked the most!  Pretty much all of them!!
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Auckland Pasifika Festival # 2

These are some more photos I took at the Pasifika Festival.  In the top photo, left top, is a head piece I made which I wore to the Festival.  I got some flowers from the $2 Shop and made them into a head band to wear.  Top right are some ear rings I bought at the Festival, and bottom left are the beads I bought.  There was also a few rides and things for the kids to do.  My favourite ride is the Tea Cups and Saucers!  I went on that ride when I visited Disneyland a few years ago!  It was something I had always wanted to do:-)
The weather on Sunday was much hotter and more sunny than it was on Saturday.  And no sign of rain anywhere, even though it was predicted.  I used my umbrella as a sun shade!  I'm so glad I went back again on Sunday, as there was so much to see that one day wasn't enough.  Western Springs, where the Festival was held, is a 64 acre park with a huge lake in the middle of it.  There are multiple pathways around the grounds and it is a great place to go to unwind and relax.  Lots of grassy areas to sit and have a leisurely picnic.
There is lots of bird life in and around the lake, such as Pukeko, which is is Native, as well as Teal, Australian Coots, Shovelers and various kinds of ducks, Geese and Swans. I am scared of the Swans, they can be very nasty if they want to!  Having been chased  by them years ago, I respect them and give them plenty of room!  There are fish and eels in the lake.  Right next to the Park is MOTAT - Museum Of Transport  and Technology.  Around the outside of Western Springs runs an old Tram that goes from MOTAT to the Auckland Zoo, which is situated on the far side of Western Springs.  On the City side of Western Springs is the Auckland Speedway, which I have been to many times!
