More Paint Sample Flowers!

These are some more flowers I punched out using paint sample cards.  These daisies are bigger than the first ones I punched out.
Now I just need to put them on a card!  Maybe I'll do that today?! I've had a busy weekend and just haven't had the time to sit down and create.
Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

"Wheels Out West" 2018

These are some of the photos I took yesterday at the "Wheels Out West" event.  It's all about different kinds of transport through the years. These photos are of some of the guys from the Young Guns Skate School.  They teach young kids (and adults!) how to safely ride a skateboard.  It was a fun day and the weather was stunning.  Hot and sunny all day!  Had a great time!

Broken Stampin' Up! Fox Builder Punch

**Since posting this a few hours ago, I have been in touch with the person who sold me the punch and I have had a complete refund from the seller.  All is well that ends well:-)** I bought this Stampin' Up! punch second hand, on Trademe.  I just got it in the mail yesterday. I didn't have time to try it yesterday as I had been out all day taking photo's at a local event and didn't get home until late. When I have tried to use the punch today, (for the first time since I go it) it doesn't punch.  I took the top plastic cover off and the punch appears to be out of alignment.  It seems to be the body of the fox, and the head which are not aligned, which means it doesn't punch anything out.  Does anyone know how to fix this??
I have searched online for a solution but so far have't found anything.  There are lot's of videos on Youtube but so far none that fix this problem.  The punch (Fox Builder) came with the matching stamp set.  I'm not happy that I have paid for something which doesn't work 😞 Any help is appreciated!  Thanks so much, have a SUNSHINE day 😊

Paint Sample Flowers!

I made these flowers using some paint sample cards I had picked up from Bunnings one time.  I have a collection of different colours, and knew they would somehow end up on my cards one day!  I used a small flower punch to punch out the flowers, and then stuck a half pearl in the center of each flower.  Let me tell you, my hands did not appreciate it at all!  Punching out those flowers has left my thumbs just about useless!  It has made the arthritis in my thumbs ten times worse than it was:-(  But it was fun 😊 to do, and I like how the flowers turned out!  Here they are, below.

And here is a closer view of the flowers

Below is what they look like after I punched them out, and before I added the half pearls.

The paint sample cards come in plenty of different colours, so the choice is endless!
And of course, they are free!  Must get some more colours next time I am at Bunnings!

Below are some of the sample cards after I had punched the flowers out.  My next move is to put the flowers onto a card...got to get my "thinking cap" on for that!

Meet The "Twinklets"!

The card above is on of the "Nippy Twinkles" I made recently, and I have added some tiny hearts to his face.  I did this on all of the cards I made like this.  I just felt they needed "something" extra to bring them more to life!
Below are the  "Twinklets"... BABY "Nippy Twinkles"! 👶   I made the faces smaller and put three of them on the one card.  I have bought some more of the "Candi's" (the sequin looking things.) and am hoping they arrive today!  I love 💖 using those on my cards!

Thanks for dropping by! 😊 Have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS{ from me to YOU:-) 💜

"Nippy Twinkles" and "Romeo-Valentino!"

"Who is Nippy Twinkles" I hear you ask?!!  He is my snowman on my Christmas cards!  Yep,  I gave him a name!  Anyhow, I made another four snowmen cards today, and this time I did them on a production line.  I made four cards. Above  is how they started.  Below is the next step, putting faces on them.
The next step (below) was making the hats an adding the star on the hat, and the snowflake on "Nippy's" scarf!  "Snow" much fun 😊!!
And here (below) is how I made his hat.  I used two SU punches.  I punched the tag, then rounded the corners of one end with my corner rounder, then punched out the long slot piece (not sure what that punch is called)...

And glued it to the cut away edge of the tag and hey presto I have a hat for "Nippy Twinkles"!  Sooooo easy and quick! I did each step on all the four cards at the same time.
Below is the finished card, with the "Merry Christmas" (SU stamps set) tag.  Each snowman has a different coloured "Candi" on his snowflake.
Some of the stars on his hat are different colours too.

Some of the cards look as if they are cut crooked, they aren't, it's just the way I have them propped up to photograph them.  The card I used is a really nice iridescent tan colour, and it's a firmer card than I usually use.  I got it cheap from "Gordon Harris Art Supplies" in Newmarket one day.  I just liked the colour and it is something different to what I normally use.
Okay, so there are all my latest "Nippy Twinkles" I made today! 😊 I am doing well in getting my Christmas cards done early this year!  I thank Andrea  😊for the inspiration for this, she is making her 2018 Christmas cards and it got me inspired to start mine.  It's such a stressful time in the month leading up to Christmas, that I wanted to get a head start this year!  Please jump over to Andreas blog, I know you will enjoy her crafting as much as I do!  Thank you Andrea! 💙
Here below is "Romeo-Valentino" lying on my art desk.  He's knocked down some plastic Easter Eggs from my "Peter Rabbit" display, and they just happened to roll right by his bum!  NO he didn't lay Easter Eggs!  The green egg slowly rolled towards the edge of the desk...

...And he was not too happy about it so he kicked his other back leg and made ALL the eggs roll round!  A video would have been hilarious as he kicked all the eggs, and he went one way and the eggs went on the floor!  Needless to say, I cracked up laughing!  It was so funny to see the look on his face when the eggs rolled everywhere!  I think he's had enough of Easter for one year!
What do you call a group of snowmen???  Well, if they were here in Titirangi right now, I wold call them "Puddles", or "Slushy," because it has been so hot they would have all melted!  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE day!  {HUGS} from me to YOU:-) 💜

Two Cards and Some Stress!!

I made the mini treat bag using a die set from SU.  I used double sided paper, so the inside is also patterned.  I used an old SU stamp set to stamp the cup, and the words.  Below is the card I made to go inside the mini treat bag.  "What's Brewin'?" is  out of focus because I focused on the flowers, not the words.  These words are also from SU.  I stamped the flowers (Crafters Companion") and carefully cut around the top part of them.
Nothing too hard here! 😊
This card (below) is the card that gave me "stress"!!  First of all I had slightly cut the brown card crooked, but didn't realize until I had stuck the snow mans face and scarf on to it!  Panic!  I couldn't un-stick the face without tearing it 😕  Okay, so I started again, on a piece of brown card that was STRAIGHT, and made a new snowman face.  Got it all finished and then 'remembered' I was going to emboss it to look like snow!!  Seriously Sunshine?!*  Give up NOW!  Too late, the card was done!  If I make another one I will try to remember to emboss it BEFORE I stick anything to the card!  Deep *sigh*.  Stress, huh?!  Can't live without it 😊
Anyhow, I am happy with how the card turned out, and I achieved my goal for today, which was to make at least one Christmas card!  Done!  Thanks for dropping by, have a SUNSHINE  DAY!  {HUGS} from me to YOU 😊
