Fiskars Rotary Cutter

I bought this Fiskars Rotary Cutter for $10 (USD) from Costco several years ago when I was in L.A.  It's a 12 x 12 inch size.  Several times I have replaced the blue strip, (I'm not sure what you call it) and I just called a stamp shop and they would send it out to me.
Well, recently when I tried to replace it, I couldn't:-(  One shop sold the strips but it was not the right size for cutter.  It was too thick/deep.  The strip I needed was not so deep, only a couple of millimeters in depth. After trying quite a few places and getting nowhere, except stressed and desperate, I put my "thinking cap" on and came up with THIS idea!  I used a thin piece of craft foam (where the pink arrow is in the above photo), and you know what...??  It works PERFECTLY!!
I can use my cutter again! Yippee!  So if anyone out there is having the same challenge, try using a thin piece of craft foam, you just might be pleasantly surprised like I was!  This is the craft foam I used, above.

Don't Touch It, It's MINE!

Here's "Bella-Rosa", in control of the tv remote control!  She made herself comfortable in bed, and when I left the room for a minute, when I came back this is what I saw!  She had her front paw on the remote control!  I'm not sure if she wanted to change the channel, or if she just wanted to make sure I didn't change the channel!
Made me laugh!

A Grateful Thanks

This is the thank you card I made for the staff at the hospital, when I had my stitches a few weeks back.
And these are the flowers I took to give them along with the card.  The nurse I gave them to was quite stunned to be thanked.  Yes, they are doing their 'job', but courtesy is the oil of life in my books.
The flowers had some glitter sprinkled over them too, and look really pretty.  (NO I didn't sprinkle it on them!)

Flying Pigs??!

For those who are un-aware, Flying Pig Day is March 1st!  Every year!  So much fun..and as you can see, pigs CAN fly!!
Lorraine M, if you have not yet received this card...look away now!
This is the card I made and sent to Lorraine. Please pop across to her blog and check out her cards and craft.
This is an easel card and I have used some new SU dies.  The pig die is from The Stamps Of Life, and I think the lady bug is Memory Box, or Poppy Stamps Dies.  I can't remember off hand!
Okay that's it for now, thank you for dropping by, {HUGS} from e to YOU:-)

A Nice Surprise In The Mail!

Back in February I had a nice surprise in the mail, from a friend in Brisbane.  She had told me "something" was coming...and the above picture is some of what came!  A whole bunch of awesome embellishments etc for putting on my cards!!  I had fun looking at everything!  But there was more...
There was also these envelopes, all marked with months of the year...the entire year!  I was told I was only allowed to open ONE card each month.  There were 12 envelopes, and each was marked with a month.  I was allowed to open February's card as it was already February!
...And above is February's card...love the colours!  Purple is on of my fave colours and this is just gorjuss!  Robyn's cards always inspire me:-)
...and here is the card she made for MARCH!  So cute!  The sky is a blue colour but it is showing up very pale on here:-(
And look at this...there is a surprise when you open the card...
A BOOK MARK is part of the card!!  It is perforated so you can tear it off.  I have left it attached for now.  What a cool idea...I must try i!  What a VERY nice surprise I got when I opened up this amazing parcel of goodies!  Thank you Robyn!  (You know who you are!)

...BUT WAIT! THERE WAS MORE!!..

This arrived two days later!!  But what is it??  ...

I was told to put a coin on the fish and press lightly...

So I did, and this is what happened...

...a cute little ginger and white cat popped up...

...and STOLE my money...!  (this photo below should have been before the top photo)  It's a cute money-box!  Once she has stolen your coin, puss pops back into her box and the lid closes!

...and it MEOWS when it steals my money!!  My cats were convinced I had bought a kitten home, when they first heard it meow!  What an amazing surprise to receive in the mail!  A big thank you to my friend Robyn!

Healing Nicely And A Card!

At last! I have the stitches out! My eye is healing well and it feels a lot more comfortable now.  No more horrible, drive-you-crazy itching!  That was worse than the pain:-(
I am still not allowed to get my wounds wet and am not allowed to wash may hair!  Two weeks of not washing my hair:-(  I have managed to wash my hair over the bath, by using  containers of warm water:-)  A rather long process, but hey, it worked!
This is a big heart card I made for a friend for Valentines day.  I made a small tab using the SU tab punch so the recipient could hang it on her wall.  She loved it:-)Thanks for visiting, {HUGS} from me to YOU:-)

Looking For This...

I am looking for a bunny rabbit stamp and matching die set.  Must be cute/funny!  Can anyone point me in the right direction of which companies sell these, please?!  I've spent a lot of time on the interweb and can't find what I want, and yet I see them on blogs all the time!  If you can help, thank you!
I will be back with a post later...
