Quick & Easy Easter Card!

Here's #1 of my quick & easy cards tonight! I used my oval nesties in 2 shades of lilac & one white. The chick is from DJ Inkers. I stuck some ribbon on the card in a cross shape then added the chick on the nesties. I cut some lilac triangles for the corners & added a tiny yellow bead to each one.
As I usually do, I added some Kindy Glitz to the chick after colouring him with my copics.

Little Hands

Here's #2 of my quick & easy cards for tonight! The baby buggy is from DJ Inkers & the words were another cheap stamp from Spotlight. I have used my square nesties for this one - the yellow card & the white card.
I added some cute footprint ribbon at the top & bottom of the card!
I stamped the baby's face twice & cut it out & stuck it to the card using sponge tape.

Quick & Easy!

This was a real quick card to make. Almost made itself! First I cut a rectangle using my nesties. I then stuck a piece of pink ribbon along the bottom of the card, glued on a paper flower & added a stick on pearl to the center.Added a couple of pink brads & stamped the word "Sweetness"(cheap stamp set form Spotlight) at the top of the card. Lastly I stuck the pink card to a small white card. Finished!

Rainbow

This is not showing up as clear as I would have liked. In reality it is MUCH better than this shows! The rainbow stamp is from Great Impressions. I made the miniature paint roller ( I just LOVE these!) & I computer generated the words, thought up by me! The words say, "Life is a rainbow...
what colours have you painted yours?" I cloured the rainbow with my copics & added some fine gold glitter. The paint roller also has different coloured Kindy Glitz on it to match the rainbow. I stamped some stars around the border of the card.

Youre Special

Here's another black & white card I made last night. I enjoy making these cards, the same as I enjoy black & white photography! Lots'a fun! I used stick on pearls (did I mention how much I love these?!) randomly on the ferns.
I cut (with scallop scissors) the black card & attached it to the white card. Then I punch out the lacy ferns in black & then in white. I glued the white ferns first & then cut & matched up the black ferns. I added the word stamp & stuck it onto a piece of pink card, added the pink brad (not the Pitt one, sadly & never mind that I am old enough to be his GRANNY!!) & ribbon & stuck it to the card using sponge tape. Easy Peasy huh! Now, does Brad Pitt know my phone number...??!!

Miniature Paint Rollers!

Are these cute or what??!! Thanks to Valita for this cute idea! Check out her blog, she has some amazing things there!
These are made with white paperclips - how easy is that?!!
Just bend the paper clip as shown, cut off one end (you don't want an extra long handle!) & roll a small strip of red (or any colour you choose) card & a small strip of black card. Roll the card around a knitting needle or something similar to form the roller (red) & then do the same for the black handle. Use either a hot glue gun (I did) or some strong glue. Adhere the red bit the top (bendy bit of paper clip) & the handle to the ...handle!! And THERE you have it, some very cute paint rollers - great for adding to mens cards!! THANK YOU Valita!! Check out her paper flowers on her blog - really nice!!

Cute Box!

This box is made the exact same way as the Easter Basket, below. The only difference is, I made a lid (same as I made the bottom) for the top & decorated it with a tiny ceramic teddy bear! Just follow the tutorial for the Easter Basket. Once again, I used my oval nesties to decorate the sides of the box. I have put coloured cotton balls in this box, but you could use it for almost anything from baby to wedding & everything in between!

Tutorial for Easter Baskets

Ok, here is the tutorial for the Easter Basket in the post BELOW. Yes! I did this the wrong way round, I ought to have done THIS post FIRST! Oh well...
First of all, with your square nestabilities, cut out FIVE scallop squares. With your scor-pal score FOUR of the squares as shown in photo. Cut out the corner scallop as shown in photo. (Number one) Number two = fold along the three score lines.
Number three = glue the sides together (four squares in total).
By now you will have a box shape with no bottom. Cut out the corner scallop on all four sides of the remaining square & glue to bottom of basket.
You will now have a basket, with bottom, as shown in the photo. Make a handle by cutting a long strip of matching card using scallop scissors on both sides of the strip of card. Attach to basket & add embellishments as required. In the post below I have also used my oval nesties to decorate the basket. These can also be made into boxes by leaving out the handle & instead adding a lid - another square scallop nestie. You can either attach the lid or make a little handle to lift the lid on & off with. Just HAVE FUN with them!

Easter Baskets!

Make these cute Easter Baskets using your square nestabilities! These are made using five scallop squares. Watch this space for the tutorial, it isn't difficult to do!

I will have it posted soon! The handle was cut with my scallop scissors. Right now it is dinner time so I have to move, but I hope to post the turorial later tonight...come back soon! :-) I have Lauren to thank for this cute idea, please check out her blog, her stuff is so awesome & inspiring!

Down on the Funny Farm...

This card is made using Rubbadubbadoo stamps.
The farmers wife on the horse was originally standing up carrying a basketful of eggs! I chopped her legs in half & ditched the basket & put her on the horse! I added some black string for reins! I think she looks cute this way! I added some brass brads to the chainsaw, & glued some pencil shavings under the saw for added effect! I had heaps of fun making htis card!
I stamped the grass over & over to give it a better look & added a few flowers. This is stamped on white card then layered onto 2 different brown cards. I also added Crystal Kindy Glitz, which doesn't really show up.

"Grizz"

Here is a sort of pocket card I have just finished. "Grizz" is a "Stamps by Judith" stamp, the "love in a box" is a deleted one from DJ Inkers (Hooks lines & Inkers) & the curved row of flowers is from Penny Black. The tiny hearts are from a SU set. Tab punch is also from SU.
I made a 'pocket' with the card with Grizz on, the top & bottom are tucked inside the card. Then I made the card with the tab on, to fit inside the pocket card. I cut a curved line in the card using a plate 'cause I couldn't find my shape cutter off hand! (It was under some paper...) I put a piece of lilac paper inside the pocket card, matching it up to the colours on the words. I was 'experimenting' with my copics on this card! As a finishing touch, which sadly you cannot see, I added 'dots' of Kindy Glitz all over Grizz & when you look at him under the lights, or in the sun, he actually looks as though he is covered with lot's of tiny flashing, fairy lights! He is soooo cute! :-)

Mr. Hedgehog!

I used my square nesties on here, as well as the spots & dots cuttlebug embossing folder. The hedgehog has a stick on pearl on his nose! Cute huh! I also stuck some ribbon with "sweet" on it, across the bottom of the card. "Make a Wish" is a Hanna Stamp. This card & the following two were fairly simple cards to make & were inspired by some my friend PAT had made - she sent me photo's & I got inspired! I haven't done alot lately, mostly because of health challenges. I coloured this in using my copics & blended the colours on the heart using my blender pen rubbed across red then orange markers. I like the effects I get using that technique. Lots'a fun!
Thanks for visiting - see you nest time!

Sunshine!

I coloured the Traffic Lights embossing folder on th negative side (back) with yellow Brilliance ink, then run it through the cuttlebug to colour the background. The raised bits stay white. I used my square nesties & added some yellow ribbon to the bottom of the card. I coloured the sunshine with my copics. To blend the colurs I rub the blender marker across the orange marker (on the wide nib) & then colour with the blender marker. This technique shows up better on the hedgehog card in the post above. The sunshine has a stick on pearl on her nose!

Hopes & Dreams

I inked up the negative side (BACK) of my D'vine Swirls cuttlebug embossing folder with pale blue fluid chalk ink, then run it through the cuttlebug. It colours the background & the swirls stay nice & white!
You can use other inks, but permanent ink will stain your folder - so be aware of that!
I used my square nesties for the blue card behind the lady. The background card is white but looks pale blue on here! Oh yes, the other thing I did was to stick some tiny pearls onsome of the swirls.

Copics

...Just taking my copic markers for a test drive! This is the first time I've used them & I had fun with them! I found a great tutorial on blending them, on SCS. I used my oval nestabilities to cut out the blue & white ovals.
The copics blend really well...can't wait for the rest of them to arrive now!
I've also used stick on pearls on the top of the card. "You" & "Me" are 2 stick on's as well.
The "Forever friends" is printed ribbon. Oh yes, the stamp is from "Imaginations", G150.

Garland

I made this name garland using my classic circle nestabilities. I joined each letter with a piece of gold thread. It didn't take too long to make & was alot of fun! The recipient has now recieved it, so I can post it! I cut out the letters using my Cricut mchine. If you click on one of the photo's you will see each letter has self adhesive pearls stuck on them. Thanks for all your inspiration Cambria!
